The list doesn't seem too bad. It doesn't have much pure EU so I like that. I'm just wondering two things. First: How much new information will these entries have? Will they just be reprints of the Wizards' previews on their website? I'm expecting at least some new info on the 'RotS' ships. Second: How will this book stand to the upcoming 'Star Wars Blueprints'?

 

Call yourself lucky, that the Scythe wasn't mentioned. From what I heard on SD.net its awful.

 

I guess the best we can hope for is a Legacy sourcebook sometime late next year or in early 2009.

Sadly, I have a strong feeling that if we don't get Legacy or NJO books between now and then, they'll get pushed aside in favor of Clone Wars (which I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a sourcebook for late next year right around the time the toon hits) and the live-action TV series, what with Lucasfilm Licensing being so keen on pushing the current product (and rightfully so, from a business perspective).

At least we have a KotOR book to look forward to. But really the time period between now and "Clone Wars" debut (and then between the Clone Wars debut and the live action series) seem the best "slots" that some more EU product could show up.

I actually like the Scythe-class alot. From a purely sci-fi/space opera standpoint, I adore the design. A cross between a MC90 and the Hammerhead-class cruiser.

At least Legacy will still be going by then; LOTF will have wrapped up already, making the odds of a book tying into that (which I'd expect to see over another NJO one) rather slim for reasons mentioned above.

 

If it were up to me I'd combine NJO, Dark Nest, and Legacy of the Force into one big book. That way the repeat-material is minimized and we get a large chunk of the EU Post-RotJ timeframe explored (at least a bit) in one fell swoop.

If it were up to me, I'd have the post-August release schedule looking something like:
Legacy era Sourcebook (self-explanatory)
Clone Wars Sourcebook (Combine comics, novels, and toons for a comprehensive look at the Clone Wars)
The New Jedi Order and Beyond (as noted above)
New Republic era Book (From the end of RotJ to the beginning of NJO...a lot of ground to cover but I think it could be done)

And my pipe-dream: Jedi vs. Sith Sourcebook (Covering the 1000-year war and doubling as a "Force" Sourcebook all in one).

Oh, and Starships of the Galaxy 2 to give us more ships to play with.

 

Make is a book of completely original ship ideas and I say "DO IT YESTERDAY".

Rehashed stats on stuff I've seen just don't make a sale with me anymore.

I can go to the wook for the latest update.

Those are some ships I'd love to see updated too. I'm kind of surprised they never have been, either...because pretty much all of them are ideally-suited for PCs or PC groups.

Then again...didn't WEG run some kind of contest to create those ships? Maybe there's some kind of funky legalese that's either preventing WotC from using them or makes them leery about doing so.
