Here are some questions I have...

    1) Is this message board very active? (I mean the whole JC)

    2) How do you make friends here?

    3) Are the SW fans mean to the ST fans? I'm a fan of both...actually I was a fan of SW before ST.

Thanks for the fruit basket! :)

i'm new too, so i can't answer your questions except, in my opinion, the board is very active. that and i can't talk for the rest of the board, but i won't be mean to a st fan. :)

    1) Is this message board very active? (I mean the whole JC)

Well, yes. Some forums are much more active than others, I think. I post in the Jedi Council Community and there's always activity there. I would recommend "lurking" for a little bit in each area to see what's going on and to see what interests you.

Don't post a lot of new topics. Make sure you read a few pages back in the forums to see if there's already been a topic made.

    2) How do you make friends here?

Again, get to know people in threads. Find a thread topic that interests you and go there. There are some social threads you'll find where you can get to know people. You should also feel free to PM people and just introduce yourself. Getting AIM (AOL instant messenger) is good because a lot of people have it and you can chat with people there.

    3) Are the SW fans mean to the ST fans? I'm a fan of both...actually I was a fan of SW before ST.

I think there's good natured teasing, but remember that this is primarily a SW board. There are ST and LOTR threads (see the JC Community forum) already that you can join in on. I wouldn't recommend making a lot of ST threads, but get invoved in the already existing ones.

Again, best recommendation is to watch for awhile to get the feel of things before you jump in to a lot of posting. Feel free to PM people with questions and, above all, have a good time. :)

^ Thanks for answering those questions. I don't like to make topics anyhow. I just like to reply.

I've been looking around and getting a feel for the place. Thanks for the welcome. I'm sure I'll have fun here.

I'm new and working on some fanfilms. Where is the best place to find info on making lightsaber affects and what programs to use?

    Welcome! :)

And if you click on the category with Fan Activities you will find that we have a FanFilm forum where makers of fanfilms get together, I don't if special effects may be discussed in the Sci-Fi 3D forum too. :)

Hello! I have not been here for along while, and I'm sorry.I've been kinda busy, so ,

    HI EVERYONE!!

If someone is interested, I have opened a thread about the Classic Trilogy for those who want to introduce themselves into that board, or just need to have a little more info.

It is a question-answer thread, but also there is given some extra information from time to time . It is OT newbies guide:all you might need to know about the classic Trilogy

(Not promoting myself, Morgaine, really; just trying to cope ;) )
