"Calanthe" is a genus of Christmas orchids. I figured that after the 20+ years this community has existed that every single SW-related name, place and creature is taken for a user name and I love plants, so there you are. If I find a plant in the SW universe I like, I'll change my name if they let me.

I saw SW for the first time in 1977 when I was 8 so I've been a fan for its entire run. I remember checking this place out many years ago and never joined. But now that the last film is out, I'm going back and re-reading all the books and so-called "Legends" (bleh, really Disney??) stuff I stopped reading after RotJ and I'm having fun with it. I might as well go all the way and talk about it with like-minded people!

 

Fifi is my nom de internet and I wanted to marry Obi Wan. not too complicated.

Joined back when this board began, thought I'd be here all of two weeks and I was playing the hell out of Dark Forces and Jedi Knight at the time, so I went with this name not expecting to really do much with it. Yet here I am. There were several dozen of us for a while, then the teaser trailer for TPM hit and all hell broke loose.

Started off in 1999 AD as Cos Dasith. Not really. Switch the ‘s’ and the ‘h’ in the surname and you get the original name for the Emperor—and I was immediately banned trying to login the first time.

So I switched to Prince Valorum, the original First Knight of the Sith. But I meant Prince Espaa Valorum, the 2nd draft’s backstory’s Sidious, changed to that name, and used a photo of Senator Palpatine on the landing platform as my avatar. I quit posting maybe 2006.

Tried to come back as PEV. Couldn’t. Then I mistakenly logged in with my Hotmail account. Finally settled on the revised 1st draft name die the Sith which became a pre-Sith EU Dark Side group’s name.

 

It's the name of one of my original characters in one of my fanfics.

 

Since The Mandalorian started, I've noticed @jasman popping up more often.

By the way, and I may have said this already, the main part of my name comes from a comedian/coronet player in the '30s and '40s that went by the name Ish Kabibble. I used that on a local BBS that met regularly at a bar. After 4 beers, "Ish Kabibble" kinda becomes "Ishy."
