Any suggestions for what to do next? I'd like to see us becoming more active again.

We always have the theater open for use, as long as I'm home and the "boss" gives the ok. But do we want to do something else?

An informal meeting might be nice.

See who is still active and around. I think we've lost quite a few since last fall I'm afraid.

Items that can be discussed could include: What sorts of fund raisers can we do for Women's Place? Create a list of upcoming events and conventions that YJN members would be interested in. Plan some other social events, movie nights, bowling, mini-golf, etc that could be done on a regular basis so people can plan ahead.

There are probably a few other things which can be discussed (like how to attract more members), but in order to keep things concise a few set topics might be best.

    At least thats my suggestion.

    My calender...

I'm heading out of town at the end of the month for 2-3 weeks. We are headed for Winnipeg to work at an Esso plant. (March 27th-April 12ish)

I would definately be up for something, it would be nice to be around people you know that aren't my patients, so if I try to take your blood pressure or something you will have to excuse me, force of habit ;)

irregardless... what a ridiculous word. How could the dictionary let a word like that in?

I mean, really. Think about it.

Um, oh yeah, to keep this on topic. I'm moving the long weekend and I'm kidnapping stephanie to help.

    A real dictionary won't!

I'm working 3 16-hour shifts this weekend, so that rules me out. Normally I'd have the following weekend free but I got a new manager this month, and his first objective is to change all the schedules. I honestly have no idea what days I'll be working over the next while as the schedules get re-done. Best to assume I'm unavailable no matter what day(s) are picked.

m-w.com says you lie. See, I was always under the impression that it wasn't even a real word but it turns out that I was just an ass who didn't read the dictionary.

    One entry found for irregardless.
    Main Entry: ir·re·gard·less
    Pronunciation: "ir-i-'gärd-l&s
    Function: adverb
Etymology: probably blend of irrespective and regardless
    nonstandard : REGARDLESS
usage: Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that "there is no such word." There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.

... in other news, english is a stupid language.

    Show times are: 6:50 7:10 9:45 10:30

I'd prefer the 7:10 show myself, but it doesn't really matter

I hear no objections, so I'm assuming it's all good.

I'm gonna aim to be at the theatre for around 6:15. Opening weekend is always busy, and I want to make sure to get a ticket and avoid any lines. You how much we all hate standing in those, lol.

Sounds good Andrew, be sure to hold the line for late comers ;)

We should be there around then too.

    Everyone ok with that? Chris?

Anyone else coming out? Nick? Graeme?

Ya I guess the 7:10 is ok for me...although it may not work out so well for Deb. Kaitlyn does not go down to sleep till 8:00 and she may not go to bed for our sitter easily.

Of couse that is if we can get a sitter. So it may just be me coming anyway.
