Why don’t we go back and finish the street level draft that Punk started? That was an interesting one. And most of us had our complete rosters. If we’ve lost any players, I’m sure someone else will be down to take over their rosters.

 

That’s a good idea. Faster paced, shorter drafts.

 

We had 8 players. I don't know how it works exactly.

 

Eight players randomly square off

Four winners randomly square off
Four losers randomly square off

Two double winners square off
Four one-and-one teams square off
Two double losers eliminated

Remaining undefeated team advanced to final
Team that just took their first loss gets a bye
Teams that won among the 1-1 teams face off
Teams with second loss eliminated

Two remaining one loss teams face off
Team that lost eliminated

Team that one faces undefeated team


Make sense?

 

Not exactly. So the 2nd highest team will get eliminated half way through, but teams at the bottom still get a chance to win?

I have a little idea while we wait for sports. The best part of any sport. Except the draft. And (some of) the games.
TRADES

I was thinking in my head of comic book trades for some reason, well, because it's comic books and trades obviously, OH RIGHT it's because I read DCeased Unkillables which seems pretty grand, where Mary Marvel faces off against Wonder Woman. And I thought, hm, Marvel is doing their whole "we need a superbrick female hero and they're... Well, they're just shoehorning Capt. Marvel into the role and telling you, or at least me, to like it, which I am not. But what if instead of doing that, they could instead trade for one of DC's superbrick females who would be really interesting, like, say, the underused Mary Marvel? Perfect! Then she could get more of a spotlight and Marvel could have what they want! Yes!

So, here's how this goes, if anyone's interested. I will propose a trade for one company to receive, and then maybe the next person says what would be traded for that person. Maybe even have draft picks. And an explanation. Or maybe there's a discussion on what the trade should be, I don't care which but I'll kick it off with the aforementioned Mary Marvel

DC trades Mary Marvel to, well, Marvel, for Baron Mordo & Selene

Rationale: Well, I already said why Marvel wants Mary, so just DC. Mordo would be a good villain, depending on how he was written, for a lot of DC heroes but especially Wonder Woman because, well, her villains are awful. He could also team with Enchantress (DC) or Ares, who are... Okay, I guess. Neither Ares is that great imo. Mary has more value I think than Mordo at this point so throw in Selene, with whom Marvel has pretty much done all they can since the Hellfire Club. Summon Blackheart. Summon Maddie Pryor. Summon dead people. We get it. But throw her into DC with a new world to play with and she could be a good baddie with more powerful foes to face and new villains to team with.

Advantage: Financially, Marvel, because Mary Marvel done right is 10 years worth of movies. Story quality more likely DC as either Mordo or Selene could translate to a way more original summer event than they've had ever since there started being a Crisis every 6 weeks. But money talks, at least in my head, so advantage Marvel.

Alterations to the trade? New trade? Crickets?
