Mini Series Obi-Wan Kenobi - Part 3 - Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

Sometimes when I look at Luma, I see her mother's face. We all miss her very much

I think that answers the question of who Obi-Wan said Leia reminded him of

 

Obi-Wan telling his backstory- Obi-Wan's birth family would have been a great addition to the plot

This episode isn't pulling any punches.

 

Okay- if this is their only encounter in the series- it feels a little anticlimactic. Even as their first encounter in 10 years, there should have been more build up

 

There's no way. They'll meet again.
Though, damn.

Vader was amazing in this episode.

 

Holy Sith, that was amazing. 10 out of 10!

 

Vader burning Obi-Wan in fire was amazing.

Everything else....not so much. Cutting away from the Obi-wan/Vader bit all the time back to Reva/Leia was really bad. Don't they get what the dramatically interesting stuff is?

The reunion had the potential to be one of the best SW scenes of all time. It should have been soooooo much better.

Vader letting a slow cargo robot take Obi-Wan away because of a bit of fire in the way was one of the dumbest things I've seen in SW.

Anyways, for the rest of the episode, I loved getting to hear a bit about Obi-wan's childhood, and I wish the show would dive wayyyyyy deeper into that. How does he feel being stripped of his normal family, to join an organization that utterly failed? Does he long for a normal life now?

 

How’s Hayden in this for those who have seen it?

I have a theory that Vader can’t kill Obi yet due to his bewilderment that Kenobi didn’t kill him, and seeing Obi-Wan frail, while he is powerful makes Anakin pity his old master. You even hear how Vader revers Obi in OT, “Obi-Wan has taughf you well.”

Loved the episode, things picked up much quicker than expected. Also y'all are completely delusional if you don't think

These series is about Obi Wan getting back into form, both physically and mentally. Its no suprise he got toyed with this episode, he is very rusty.
