I think they ruined their chance to recast those characters.

 

Any OT cameo's will be done with deepfake and such. So Luke will not be recast same with Leia, Lando and Han.

So, since Vader is in this, we can count on JEJ to be as well (unless he's suddenly grown tired of doing that voice, in which case I suppose they'll bring in Matt Sloan).
Hearing Frank Oz wouldn't surprise anybody and I'm preeetty much expecting Liam Neeson to be involved. They're likely just keeping these people under wraps to save something for the fans.
What would be surprising, but not an impossibility by any means, is the involvement of Ian McDiarmid.
Even more surprising - and unlikely, I'd say - would be Rosario Dawson.
Then there's Jimmy Smits, I guess. Not too likely either, but you never know!
Genevieve O'Reilly? Eeh... Probably not.

Any other Star Wars veterans who might make an appearance?

 

I really hope that JEJ does the voice.

I don't care if he sounds "old" so long as he doesn't sound like Chad Vader.

 

He already had one.

 

There's limitless opportunities for characters from all forms of media in this era of the galaxy to appear, ultimately the show is about Obi-Wan, the Lars and protecting Luke from Vader. Who they can then fit into this will need to be carefully judged, the last thing they'll want is to overcrowd it with cameos irrelevant to the story.

I think Bail Organa will likley be in this if Leia is in this, and an actress paying a character named Tia who might be Bail's sister. I think a Yoda cameo is likley as show they still in contact. Qui gon jinn appearances as force ghost guiding Kenobi. Emperor Sheev Palpatine i think is very mutch likley as a cameo as Darth Vader must report back to him on Kenobi.

 

I know, but I want him to have another one (besides Anakin or Luke).

 

Let Kenobi train a tusken youngling in the force and you canonize the legends tusken jedi but put a new spin on it as Kenobi's student.

 

I hope we get a whole episode of Obi-Wan perched on a hill top aggravating Sand People by impersonating a Krayt Dragon and moving the sand around under their feet with the Force. All the time muttering under his breath 'That's for Ani's Mom, you animals.'

 

I hope all this comes true. It would be amazing for this show to be a kind of “bridge trilogy” connecting the PT and ST.

Imagine watching ANH for the first time after watching Kenobi and getting to the part where Owen and Beru die

 

Will this show came first than Andor? it will be for December or May?

I hope Obi-Wan avenges the Tuskens killed by Anakin, tbh.

 

I will say though that based on some things we've seen out there now, there seem to have been noticeable improvements to that type of CG usage, even since Rogue One! (after all, it WAS five years ago now-if you can believe it!)

 

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was May 4th, what better way to celebrate Star Wars Day?

 

Depends on if thats when Bad Batch returns as that when it aired last year.

 

But moneywise it cost much, much more than Bad Batch, more chance they'll keep May 4th for their most prestigious production.

 

I don’t know people are going to watch Kenobi no matter when it airs and people are going to watch Star Wars on May 4 no matter what they show. So just might open Kenobi on a different day to help increase sales

I don't want Vader vs Kenobi but i want Vader/The Emperor vs Kenobi.At least Vaders arse being rescued by Sidious.

McGreggor talking about filming episode III in a green void is a kind of a blast, he was miming riding to give Luke to "Uncle Peru" on a green box. Also 3 months of him alone on "Utapau" just looking at random green corners by himself



No wonder he's excited to be shooting in the Volume, he can actually see what's going on.
