  1. A Message For Everyone:

TCW vs. Rebels debates are not allowed in the Television forum. As in, discussions that descend into TCW/Rebels (or any show vs any other show) bashing/gushing will be subject to Mod action. Contrasting the themes, story lines, characters, etc. between the shows is allowed (welcomed, even). "Versus" debates/arguments, however, are a deal-breaker.

Have they announced any Episode I actors, returning for the 20th Anniversary Panel, besides Ahmed Best? So, no Official mention of Ewan McGregor at Star Wars Celebration Chicago doesn't worry me too much. "The Force is with me, and I am one with the Force". [face_praying] :p

With this GIF, I can't help but recall your Force Friday story about standing alone in the rain outside of Toys R Us, and then stepping into Chili's for a brief respite. With that recollection, Tennant's appearance is now tied to how I imagine yours. And now, I'm imagining this David Tennant / Chiznuk making a regular pilgrimage to closed-down Toys R Us stores and just staring at bare shelves (and for some reason, the lights are still on.... perhaps for a security reason... like to keep squatters out).
Like Ebenezer Scrooge being accompanied by the ghost of Christmas past, in his head, this David Chiznuk reminisces about the good old days, and can even see himself giddily sifting through the new Black Series, while others in line eagerly accept their free Funko Pop shirts and Star Wars posters. That mental projection then swirls away, and he's left cold and alone, clutching a soggy bag of Chili's leftovers.

I think if Cassian is in 2021 and now clearly announced and in progress, well, you're not getting any Obi Wan TV show any time soon.

I'd love to be wrong, but I don't see any Obi-Wan or Benioff & Weiss announcements this weekend.

They already have three "main courses" this weekend -- Episode IX, The Mandalorian, Galaxy's Edge -- in addition to a slew of appetizers. Not to mention it would be great to have something in their back pocket right after Ep9's release. If people love it, then keep the momentum going. If people are divided, then make them happy with some can't-miss project announcements.

    That's basically it.
Enough new things on the table right now.

They aren't going to confuse the message with extra announcements.

Hmm, well that could still mean this year, but spring 2020 or fall 2020 is more probable.

Also some speculation: We'll either get some announcement about future shows on D23 in August or after the launch of The Mandalorian. IMO the latter seems more likely as I think that they will use the Mandalorian to test the waters and see how well it will be received .

I'm not paying for the Disney service, I'll wait until they got it on iTunes, and I'll read the boards for spoilers.

thanks for the info and really hope they don't miss the chance as long as Ewan can (or is willing to) do it. Had just really many hopes for this announcement.

KK said at the Disney investors presentation the day before Celebration that there were more shows in the works than just The Mandalorian and Cassian. One could very easily be Kenobi especially given the rumors of it.

would rather this than a movie. Rumors are 6 episode, which would pretty much equal to a trilogy of movies in length. You get a movie, it's 2h and that's it. More interested in a prospect of a Kenobi tv show (or miniseries?) than Andor.

I can’t believe I did this to myself. We had you in such a position of weakness with your epic August failure, and I threw it away with an ill-advised post during a fleeting moment of weakness when I just couldn’t wait another few months for a trailer. I let my hopes get the better of my head, and I’m paying for it now. The shame is almost too much to bear.
