There is Only Peace

ANAKIN IS ALIVE!

Obi-Wan Kenobi receives the information like a battering ram to his chest, a battering ram that enters him and turns its thunder outward from inside his heart.

Anakin is ALIVE!

Obi-Wan Kenobi knows its true, wished, for what that was worth, that it was not. Reaching out with the Force, however weak his powers had become from disuse, he could feel the hate. 'I hate you!' Glowing eyes and burning flesh and the oppression of the Dark Side of the Force burst forth from his memory. His breath is coming short; anxiety, shock, and FEAR, are overpowering.

Anakin is Alive!

Obi-Wan Kenobi is not a man used to fear, to being unsettled to the point of paralysis. He reaches out for the Force, seeking peace. But he has kept his ancient ally at bay they many years. He had hidden not from the Force, but the Force within him. However, the Force is not resentful. The Force does not judge. The Force, which is in all life, waits patiently for Its friend to return home. However dangerous it may be.

Anakin is alive.

Obi-Wan Kenobi feels the peace of the Force, which passes understanding. His breath slows. His heartbeat subsides. His Fear is mastered. Though peace has returned, Anakin is alive. Lord Vader is here. Leia is here. He must give Leia time to escape. His powers are weak. Darth Vader could could kill him easily in this fragile state. There is not choice! Leia must be saved.

Obi-Wan hears Vader's taunts and emerges from his hiding place to face his brother, his bitter enemy.
