can't wait either. shame they bloody night tube is being delayed though.

the northern hemisphere teams seem a bit all over the place. england lose to france but then beat the 6 nations champs ireland. wales lose one of their best players to injury in the final lead up game. will be an interesting tournament.

    new zealand ftw

losing halfpenny was a massive digger for them, and a shame for the tournament overall, as you want to see the best players in action.

if they weren't in the same pool as us (or you), you'd almost feel sorry for them.

Fortunately for me, my church has Saturday evening services so I will be able to watch God's team on Sunday morning when I would normally attend church. Of course, we all know who will sweep Pools B and C anyway, but the slaughter of the sacrificial lambs is always fun to watch.

How often do we expect Richie McCaw to be offside?

    95% of the time? 98%?

You're only offside if you get called offside.

That scoreline flattered the English. Anyone's game with 15 to go.

To put it into some context, they lost 83-7 to the All Blacks just 4 years ago, and conceded 90+ against Australia the WC prior. stunning result.

Just woke up and saw the score of South Africa v Japan. A good round of laughter like that is an incredible way to start a day.

What I don't get about South Africa is why they all appear to be on the verge of orgasm when their anthem is played. Most other nations are pretty solemn with their national anthems, but the guys from South Africa look awfully aroused for some reason. Never been able to figure it out. It's as if I want to give them all a cigarette after their anthem has finished.

SA v Japan was great. USA play Samoa in about 15 minutes. We'll be at the pub for brunch and to watch it.
