I really appreciate the nomination, but I don't think A Resolution For Shadows in Light is eligible this time around, considering how long ago I started it (fall 2005). Especially since I haven't been posting on it again until quite recently. Thanks, though, I'm honored.

 

As long as the story started before June 1 of this year and received an updated between June 1, 2006-May 31, 2007 (which your story did), it can be eligible.

 

I can't speak to the romance, but you did update during the eligibility period, so I don't believe timing is an issue.

According to my computer's clock, it is 3am, which means it's midnight on the boards. Translation: Noms are now closed.

Thanks so much to all of you who took the time to send in your noms, and an even bigger thank you to my awesome volunteers for counting them all.

PMs will be sent to the authors who qualified for voting later this afternoon. PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN YOUR EXCERPTS UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THIS PM. If you do, your excerpts will be sent back to you and you will have to send them in again.

In case you need an introduction or a refresher to the excerpt process:

EXCERPT PROCESS:

1) Once nomming is complete, we will send you a PM with a list of all the category/ies you have qualified for.

2) Go through your story/ies and select what you would like to send in as your excerpt(s).

3) Your excerpt(s) must be 800 words or less.

4) Send in all your excerpts in ONE PM to the awards sock.

5) You will NOT receive a confirmation PM regarding your excerpt. If you do not receive a PM concerning your excerpt within 24 hours of it being read, you did everything correctly.


PLEASE NOTE:

-volunteers have the right to edit or leave off words if your excerpt exceeds 800 words
-excerpts will be listed in the official thread in the order they are received


EXCERPT RULES:


1. Each separate excerpt may not exceed 800 words in length. This includes author notes.

2. Excerpts will be posted in the order in which they are received.

3. While it is not always possible, please try to send all your excerpts in one PM. If this cannot be done, contact the sock and we'll work out how we want you to send in the PMs.

4. If your story is nominated, but you will be gone during the excerpt submission period, you may make alternative arrangements with BigFatty to get your submissions posted. They will be handled on a case-by-case basis.





You'll also notice that each category has at least two fics that qualified, which means there will be no instance of all the fics that received at least one nom being bumped up to qualifying status. Have questions? Let me know.
