I am amazed that so many hotel blocks are full already! Stayed at Embassy Suites for CV, and would've stayed there again if it were available. Has anyone stayed at, or heard anything about, the Holiday Inn - Castle?

Due to several RL issues cropping up, Maulfly and I are out, at least until we can figure out something closer to the con. I think we're out altogether, as my hospital bills from last week are rather sizable, plus replacing the car is on the agenda in the next 12 months. Oh, and did I mention our TV fried itself last night? Yeah, that happened too.

 

That is sad to hear. I hope things get better and something works out for you. At least for your RL stuff...

Just booked an appartment-room in the Enclave Suites.

 

More CVI hotel rooms becoming available next month

 

Does it benefit us to reserve with OnPeak? I have reserved with them but out of curiousity i went on my hotel's site and check the rates for the days i've reserved and it's like $40 cheaper than my Onpeak price. So now i'm tempted to reserve through them and then cancel my OnPeak hotel reservation. It's the same hotel, just cheaper

 

OnePeak has a block of rooms at each hotel. I'm at the Double Tree by SeaWorld which is a hotel on their list but we booked separately since we got our entire stay for about $100 because of my sister's points. We just probably won't be placed next to other CVI attendees and may have to find out information on our own like we did for CV bit that wasn't difficult since I'm planner and had all of the information downloaded on my ipod ahead of time.

 

Thanks for the reply. I'm so obsessive when it comes to trips and I do so much research I feel like id rather save the money vs whatever info they might give me. Plus the ppl on here are so helpful anyways

I just checked mine and it was 100$ HIGHER to go through the hotel then with OnePeak.

 

i guess it depends on the hotel then. Good to know though

 

Completely forgot that The Peabody offered same-day laundry service when we were there for CV.

We won't be making that same mistake again this year.

The less clothes we need to pack, the better.

 

I'm going to cancel my hotel reservation since hubby and I will now be staying in the Shiny villa.
