Ironic, it's like its the best SW show that no one is watching. Maybe it's better they didn't go with 5 seasons. Or maybe within 5 seasons it could've built an audience; perhaps it could still build the audience it deserves in the time it has left, who knows. I'm just glad we're getting a second and concluding season despite whatever the numbers say.

Yes there is no big name in Andor but..I'd say Bixx is a cute co-star. Missed her the last few episodes, maybe a reunion on Ferix.

Andor lacks an interesting protagonist. He is just so dull and uninteresting. I think Cassian Andor is a charisma void of a character. He was the least interesting part of Rogue One to me. The movie didn't really have much in terms of characters, the droid was fun, and the IP man guy's character was kind of interesting. But I never cared about seeing more of Andor.
His design is also really bad. He looks just like some guy you'd buy potatoes from. But that goes beyond just him, and about the show in general. It doesn't look like Star Wars, visually. The props and environments are just lazy. Those AK rifles were just outright terrible, and I have no idea how they made it into the final product. At least remove the magazine. Remove the bolt carrier. Why? Why do you take the single most recognizable gun in the world, and put it into Star Wars without even modifying it enough? Star Wars was carried by designs more so than by anything else, except maybe John Williams' music. It is pretty safe to say, that Ralph McQuarry and Doug Chiang had a huge part in Star Wars being cool and memorable. Andor has none of it. When you see some OT memorabilia, it just reminds you how dull everything else is in comparison.
Then there are no aliens. I don't think there was a single classic Star Wars alien in the show. Why not? 99% of the show are British humans.
All in all, this show doesn't feel at all like Star Wars. It could have been any other sci-fi title, you name it. It did not have to be Star Wars, and it tries its hardest to not be Star Wars.
Also, it's another show about a Rebellion, it's another show between III and IV. Rebels, Jedi: Fallen Order, The Bad Batch, countless of novels and comic books, even more before Disney. Ultimately it's nothing new. There is nothing novel in terms of themes or ideas. There is no sense in watching it other than consumption of content for the sake of it.
It's technically a very well made show. It is competent and people behind it have experience in television. But this show is just pointless filler when it comes to being Star Wars. It's a prequel of a spin-off prequel of a movie from 1977, starring a not very interesting secondary character who died in the movie where he was introduced. I can see why it doesn't do well in terms of ratings. If I didn't have anything better to do, I wouldn't see any point in watching this.
Some people also strawman as if people don't like it because the tone is too serious or because there are no cameos. See, this is "adult" Star Wars, not for casuals! Suffice to say, that is a false argument. There were plenty of EU stories with serious tone, even more so than this show, yet they felt like they were happening in a Star Wars world, they were exciting, as opposed to this.

Wasn't your point that Andor was boring? Even the guy in the tweet you posted disagrees with you as he calls it the "best SW show BY FAR".

I think one of the major challenges this show has is that there is a potential audience that wouldn't normally go for a Star Wars show, and they need a way to get that audience to find the show. The prior shows have been fairly similar in style to each other, that the audience from one naturally feeds the audience of the next one. I think this show will lose some of the Mando/Boba/Kenobi audience, and there is a question if they can find the replacement viewers. If they do, I think it could still do really well.
I think you are conflating two things here, with regards to the show "feeling like Star Wars" and "feeling like it's happening in a Star Wars world." The Star Wars formula is special recipe of pulp, western, samurai movie, action-adventure, war movie, etc. Previous spin offs have tweaked the proportions, but generally used the same mix. This show is very different from that. I LIKE that we are getting a mix of shows of which some stick close to the formula (I love the Mandalorian) and some which are completely different (I love Andor). I think we all have our different tastes of how big a net Star Wars should cast. So I agree that this doesn't "feel like Star Wars" in that sense, but I STRONGLY disagree that this doesn't "feel like it's happening in a Star Wars world." The plot of this show is completely intertwined with the story of Star Wars. A grassroots Rebellion against the evil Empire. It follows naturally from where we saw the galaxy going in ROTS, and it feels like it is leading to where the galaxy is at in ANH. The characters feel like a type we would see in other stories (albeit presented differently). The aliens don't especially bother me, although I'd rather see more than less. We have seen only 5.5 planets so far (I think). Ferrix was teeming with aliens, and I have no problem buying that this corner of the galaxy has a different species mix than parts we have seen before. Morlana One was a human corporate world, I can buy that. Kenari was sparsely populated, and as it is Cassian's homeworld, I can buy by a human population. Aldhani has to be a human planet for them to fit in. Coruscant has presumably shuffled aliens away from polite high society (and none are part of Syril's family). It doesn't make it feel disconnected from the universe to me.

I think I've landed on the idea behind Andor that many of us have been talking around, but nobody's fully articulated: What if Star Wars was a drama series first, and an action series second?

A guy you'd buy potatoes from? Like, a Mexican guy? I don't quite understand this comment. Lots of Star Wars protagonists have a pretty normal look. Han Solo, Luke, etc. Looks plenty Star Wars to me.
The same nonsense was spewed about the prequels. Doesn't feel like Star Wars. Blah, blah, blah. It's a tired and contemptuous perspective. You don't like this particular flavor of Star Wars. That's it. For others, it's a corner of Star Wars storytelling they'd always wanted to see more of. And in that way, it's an incredible dream come true. Stop telling fans that this makes it not Star Wars.
Or: What if we continue making actiony Star Wars shows, while also making one show that's a drama first, and an action series second? Can we do that? Or will fans decide that everything has to be the same? The latter possibility is what annoys me about fandoms in general. That push towards uniformity.

If one doesn't like Andor, it would be better not to watch it I guess. There is more Star Wars coming so skipping one show shouldn't be too hard I guess. And I like the fact it has unique feel.

Dantooine was the Rebel base i think 2 years before Rogue One. In Rebels season 3 all the Rebel cells join as an alliance around Dantooine. Maybe we see it in first few 6 episodes before Yavin.

I hope so. I still can't believe how close we came to seeing it in Rogue One, and have been dying to see it since. Help me, Andor. You're my only hope.

There are a lot of statementes in this interview, but for speculation purpose, this:

“Q. Pardon my gluttony. Anyway, you’ve received rave reviews every step of the way, so what’s the temperature right now at Lucasfilm? Are Kathy Kennedy and co. over the moon?

    A. I think so, yeah. Everybody’s really [happy]. I’ve never had reviews or affirmation like this in my life, for anything. And the passion of the people who’ve been following along is just overwhelming, man. I don’t know what else to say. It’s humbling. So yeah, I think everybody’s happy with that. Everybody’s pleased that [House of the Dragon] and [Rings of Power] are now out of the way, and I think a lot of people have been waiting for someone to tell them that it’s okay to watch [Andor] now or whatever. So the plan is that we’ll have a pretty long tail as we go, and everybody seems pretty pleased, unless you know something I don’t.”

I think we’ll see more of Tony Gilroy in Star Wars

And about the lack of aliens, he’s honest:

“Q. The one odd nitpick that I’ve seen has to do with the number of aliens, which is funny since episode ten has a bunch of them in the background. [Director] Toby Haynes actually told me that you wanted that sort of thing to be in the fabric of the series, not the foreground. So how would you describe your rationale?

    A. There’s already so much politics in the show to begin with, and we’re trying to tell an adventure story, really. So adding strong alien characters means that all of a sudden, there’s a whole bunch of new issues that we have to deal with that I don’t really understand that well or I just couldn’t think of a way to bake them into what we’re doing. You’ll see more as we go along, but it’s a legit question and one we’ll be answering as we go along. There is a more human-centric side of the story and the politics of it. There’s certainly no aliens working for the Empire, so that kind of tips it one way, automatically.”

    This:

"Q. Have you talked about doing more Star Wars when this is done?

A.I don’t talk about doing anything. \[laughs\] This is all I think about. This is all I do. I think about curling up in the fetal position when we’re done and getting a vodka IV for six months. \[laughs\]I don’t know, man. No, I’m not thinking about anything after this. I have no game plan after this. I just wanna make it right and get through it."

I'm wondering if the finale of Andor Season 2 is going to end with a scene that almost seamlessly blends into a scene from Rogue One?

I want to see what brings Cassian to the Ring of Kafrene (intel from Saw's people, essentially), and then I want to see him land there.
He explicitly said that it will end on Kafrene?
