Animated Shorts Official Discussion: Clone Wars Season 3 [Chapter 21: The General Attacks] (SPOILERS)

I thought it was pretty cool. It's not my favorite, but still darn good.

 

i liked how they made anakin a jedi knight!

 

I missed the first 3 min. What happened during that time?

 

commander cody saved a jedi from being another notch in GG's belt! but soon that jedi will die by his hands, i have for seen it!

 

I liked it. I'm glad there's more emphasis on storytelling now.

 

It was ok. What was the deal with the painted Gunship and Qui-Gon's huge nose

i love the darkside but when i saw qui-gon it almost made me tear up, best jedi ever made by mr. lucas!

 

I'm glad that Anakin is finally a Jedi Knight, though he will soon turn to the dark side. All in all, I think it was a great episode.

 

The Clone Troopers rescuing the Jedi from Greivous--awesome.

Anakin being knighted--awesome.

Anakin taking off in the Jedi Fighter--awesome.

The rest---ehh.....

 

does anyone know if that was Liam Neeson? cause that sounded pretty darn close....

 

I didn't like the Knighting process how it was just like ours but cutting off the rat tail was cool.

 

I agree. WAS that Liam Neeson? Generally, I'm pretty good at spotting imitators.

I think they just have great voice alikes.

Pretty good episode, although GG still resembles a food proceesor on steroids. The whole Qui-Gon sequence was a nice touch. Certainly makes the tree thing in TESB something to look at from a differnet point of view. Can't wait for tomorrow nite.

The ARC attack at the beginning was the coolest!

Anakin and Padme in the alley was good forbidden love stuff, C-3PO's strip-tease was NOT.

I really liked seeing Obi-Wan stick up for Anakin before the Council. We have seen more than enough foreshadowing of their falling out, we get it, and besides that's the part we already know is going to happen. I want to see more of them working as a team, as heroes of the Republic, the kind of relationship that would make old Ben remember Anakin fondly as "an old friend."

The knighting ceremony was SWEET as was Anakin's lift-off at the end. The glimpse of the jappor snippet of whatever from Episode 1 was a nice touch.

I think that the cartoon animation allows this series to bridge the gap between the classics and prequels better than the films because you don't have to get hung up comparing SFX (puppets vs. CGI, etc.) and can just enjoy the characters and action! Bring on more!

 

I am one who also feels this was totally awsome. I thought that maybe Ventress had returned already, then when it was PAdme I was like..woah!

Anthony Daniels (who does do the voice) Did a great job.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the 3PO sequence I thought it was Great.

Overall like the best quote of the episode

The beginning rocked. The council all talking and knighting process rocked. The ending rocked. The Padme sequence and C3P0 sequence sucked.

 

The Good:

The Qui-Gon/Young Ani sequence = Awesome (brought warm feelings to my heart).

The Anakin Jedi Knighting sequence = Awesome (Loved the severing of the rat tail).

The Anakin/Padme forbidden rendezvoux = Awesome (was it me or was that hotter than any of the actual movie chemistry?)

Anakin seeing 3P0's gold coverings and saying "impressive...most impressive" was a great little Vader tie in.


The Bad:

For some reason I do not like the animated interpretation of Grievous. It's too over the top. Of course, I have no basis for comparison but I'm willing to bet that the film version of Grievous will be less about physical theatrics and more about brilliant strategy.

For god's sake, show some Palpatine! We saw him in Chapter 1 and he's disappeared ever since!

The strip tease music when 3P0 disrobes. Very inappropriate for star wars.


Overall, I like the fact that the chapters are longer! It really gives us more story and it's doing a fantistic job of filling the gaps between Episode 2 and 3.
