As per dp4m's request, here is the thread for Chapter 24.

If I'm not mistaken this one is airing or will air in the UK today.

    According to the Official Site:
"General Grievous infiltrates the heart of the Republic while Anakin finds a shocking secret on Neivaan"

    TV Guide says:
"General Grievous' forces battle Palpatine's bodyguards; Anakin discovers an awful secret on Neivaan."

Yeah. Quick summary follows, full of spoilers, so be careful:

    =========================

The Battle For Coruscant raged on; Palpatine was being 'escorted' (well, carried like a baby) as the Jedi, led by Shaak Ti, leapt down through Coruscant to escape Grievous and his Magna-Guards - Grievous is brilliant here, prowling like a cat and crushing /all/ resistance brutally (the clones take a real ripping).

The duelling between the Magna-Guards and the Jedi is fantastic, and at all times I felt the Jedi were in a serious mess. The fights continues down through Coruscant to a bunch of train tracks, where maglev trains whip by at extremely high speeds, the Jedi and droids leaping and dodging through them.

Eventually, the Jedi get the better of the droids, pushing them into the path of trains and dismembering them, but then, as they relax, Grievous appears. He goes through a /great/ moustache-twirling, 'YOUR END IS NIGH JEDI' speech, while failing to notice Shaak Ti using the Force to tie his cape onto a cargo train of some sort. Coruscant ends with Grievous being pulled at superspeed away from the Jedi.

    Meanwhile...

Anakin begins his trial, descending into a tunnel filled with cave depicting a great warrior fighting away various threats.
He (the painting) loses an arm at one point and it's replaced by a stylised skeletal structure (the 'ghost arm' of the previous episode), which destroys eveything in it's path. He's then crowded by a crowd, in particular one female.

It then turns bad - his skeletal arm sprouts teeth of it's own and attacks the villagers, before attacking his own sweetheart. Anakin is despairing as he hears a familiar female voice scream in terror 'ANAKIN! HELP ME!'

He collapses, and awakens to see a giant Separatist stronghold. He enters and sneaks around a bit before coming across a bunch of Techno Unionists chatting about experiments on brain tissues and how Grievous wants 'the subjects' completed quickly. We see a native warrior being strapped into a chamber, and a bunch of already experimented-upon warriors - basically, now mutants.

Anakin cannot watch as the experiment begins on the native, and flies into a rage, tearing the room up. A bunch of mutated warriors are released to fight him. Anakin tells them 'I'm here to help.' and that he doesn't want to fight them, but to no apparent avail.

The episode ends as one of the creatures roars and readies itself to fight.

    ==================================

It was another great episode. The Coruscant scenes were again brilliant, and Anakin's failure in the cave gave me chills.

Coming to an end already ! Wahhh !

Can't wait for the final chapter leads us right into Episode III. I liked Anakin's vision in this episode, his had symbolising his power and as he conquers more "villains" his power grows as does his greed until it destroys the ones he loves most. Great depiction of things to come ! Tribal style !

Do you think they'll release Volumes One and Two together in a nice box some time in May ?

I mean seriously, that fella rocks big time! :D

Love the way everyone jumps the barriers at the subway station! :p Try that on the tube!
Also love the movie references in this one; The cave-painting scene was a tip-of-the-hat to Ice Age, and I'm pretty sure that there was a slight homage to The Matrix in the subway fight scene. [face_mischief]

On a slightly more pedantic note, aren't Palpatine's guards red at this time? [face_thinking] Come on Genndy, sort it out!

People on another SW board (you know which one) are saying this epidode's lame... I can categorically say I have no idea what he hell they're on about. Alright, it's not the AnaKenobi Show, but it's not meant to be.

    Anyway, bring it on!!

Im sounding like a broken record now but this was the best CW episode yet!

The entire chase/fight sequence was so movie like in quality, I could totally picture live action actors recreating the scene. The music, the pacing, the choreography, everything had a very movie quality style to it.

I love seeing the Jedi finally getting confidence in fighting Grievous, he isnt that powerful. What Ti does to Grievous, LOL, awesome, even the Emperor was impressed.

Anakin's part finally picked up, it was cool to see Vader's face show up in the lines! But I have no clue what is going on with the bio-experiments.

Now I know tomorrow a bunch of people are going to bash this episode cause it doesnt fit with the books or whatever... sigh, I wish they would just enjoy the show.

This i found to be the least interesting, GG and his bodyguard took ages to get to the chancellor and when they do GG is tied to a train with his cape! Jeez. I wanted one of the jedi to loose to GG in combat.

Saw this yesterday and again today in the UK, so lucky! Also, they are showing all the episodes from Volume 2 on Friday at 5:30 in the Uk, so...

This has been my personal favourite episode so far, I loved Palpatines over-confidence, it really is his weakness! And Roran Corobbs seismic scream attack was a bit too much, but in the context of an animation, it really worked. Comedy was a bit sparse in this episode due to the nature of all the action, but Anakins discovery on Naivaan was great and I liked the interaction between the events on Coruscant and with Anakins personal conflict.

The wall paintings coming to life was pure Tartakovsky and worked really well surprisingly.

Palpatine asks Grievous who does he think he is.

Shouldn't Palpatine know what Grievous looks like by then, he was on the holonet after Duro was taken.

It then turns bad - his skeletal arm sprouts teeth of it's own and attacks the villagers, before attacking his own sweetheart. Anakin is despairing as he hears a familiar female voice scream in terror 'ANAKIN! HELP ME!'

After his sweetheart is attacked, you see his body changing, in a flash you can even see the shape of his Vader mask, that was very eerie, definetely the highlight of the episode.

I liked the combat scenes; the elevator ride and the subway chase. Might have been unrealistic to some, but it was quite cool nonetheless.

Did anyone think the cave wall drawing segment seemed taken from Prince of Egypt? Either way, it was a nice episode, especially the fight at the train station.

This episode was great, I loved the cave scene depicting Anakin's future.

But I thought the best part of the episode was not even in the episode. In the preview for tomorrow night's episode, Anakin was showed killing the creatures in the Separatist facility. It's a great way to show him swaying further down the dark path in that he chooses to kill these monsters instead of trying to escape.

Just watched it and I gotta say I was might impressed with the three Jedi at the train station, although from what I heard that whole sequence is in conflict with LoE... especially seeing as someone mentioned that Mace fought Grievous there and he never appeared in the show... despite this conflict, the Talz, Ithorian and Shaak Ti kicked some major shaak. I wasn't quite sure what the Ithorian did, but it was amazingly awesome. Sad, having read Reversal of Fortune's panels... when he came down off that train to finish one of the bodyguards off... totally aweseome... and Shaak finally showed her cool side again... except for the trick with Grievous was a little bit... I don't know...

As to the Anakin bit... so... force hallucinations? Force telling walls? Yeah...no. Didn't like that... can't explain it... if someone can I'm not sure I'll like the explanation even. Then a big... thing... that... served no purpose whatsoever... the stealthy hopping around was cool and fun... but then the mutation thing? Not sure how I feel about that... kinda weird if you ask me. Which you didn't.

However, it may deal with the chronology of this section, as if (which it might not be) that is Wat Tambor, then it cannot be taking place at the same time as the events of Coruscant, as Tambor is with the rest of the Separatist council at that time. If it isn't Tambor, then that might still be okay to me. But if it is Tambor and that is the same time as the Coruscant battle... then I'm majorly, majorly peeved.

Nice to see that the clones and guard didn't hold up too well to Grievous. Nice slice and dice. Speaking of slice and dice, loved the way Shaak took that droid to pieces so well. And then the simple push... nice to show that they aren't invincible.

Now I know tomorrow a bunch of people are going to bash this episode cause it doesnt fit with the books or whatever... sigh, I wish they would just enjoy the show.
Was just scrolling up and saw this comment... just because people complain about something doesn't mean they didn't enjoy it. Complaining is just showing how you would have enjoyed it more. I didn't think the episode was perfect, but I did think it was enjoyable. Because of that I like to lay out the good and bad. Part of the bad is the continuity element.

    Is Grievous a comedic character???

They sure seem to be playing him as one in Clone Wars (and to great effect, I might add).

The Palpatine/Greivous segments had a wonderful feeling of high-pitched terror to it. Despite the fact that most of it occured in the open, it left me feeling claustrophobic somehow.

The moment I saw the cave painting Anakin hand growing, I knew what was up. *shivers*

And did you see the preivew for the next part, Force Choke time, baby!

Wow! That was the best one yet!

The beginning where Palpatine "doesn't realise" that the guy barging in is Grievous was halarious! I loved how Grievous just kind of sttod there listening :p Then that Ithorian sound thingy was awsome, and held Grievous back. I thought the scene where they were waiting for the elevator while listning to Grievous slaughter those guys was great. It was terrifying, yet halarious at the same time. That had to be the most important elevator to catch ever [face_laugh] Then I was litteraly laughing out loud when I saw Grievous running down the building right next to them [face_laugh] His bodygaurds were great, and I loved the sound their staves made. That jumping from platform to platform was reminiscant of TPM, but much better with Grievous over Maul, and the fight on the transport was really cool  When they cut over to Anakin I started groaning. When the little wall animation started, I was thinking "Is this really nessicary?" I knew it had something to do with Anakin, but I couldn't figure out what. But when I heard Padmé, it all clicked. Now I really want to see that sequence again! That battle at the tram station had to be one of the most intense man to man battles of the PT (so far). It was absolutely spectacular! It was great to see the Ithorian running on the tram  I was laughing out loud when Shaak Ti tied Grievous' cape onto the tram, and even harder when he just zipped away [face_laugh] Reminds me of the Incredables bit about having capes :p Oh, I forgot. Seeing Grievous slowly walk into that blast coming from the Ithorian was great! It was so cool! And finaly we get to the seperatist plot on that planet, allthough we still don't quite know what it is. When Anakin was spying on them, it was very reminiscant of Obi-Wan spying on Dooku on Geonosis in AOTC. And to finish it up, we get attack of the mole people ;) :p

By far the best episode yet
