Yep, almost games night We're going to have a couple new people tonight. A couple friends from B.C. are staying here for a week, so they will be playing.

Thanks once again for hosting Danny, was a pleasure as always.

RPG was fun, I can't wait till we can really sink our teeth into it... although I DID miss Epic Duels... (even though I won 2 out of the 3 games I played) Still can't believe that with 10 players on the board that Darth Maul won with only 3 health taken off him AND with both his droids AND with a rookie at the helm... amazing!!!

I will try to get that Rulebook scanned and uploaded by tonight so everybody can read it, and I will try to photocopy some hard copies for next meeting for those of you who don't go out and buy it... and remember, GO BUY SOME DICE!!!! I have purple already, so try and get a different color so they don't get mixed up. I beleive that Danny wanted Orange and Steve wanted Blue, so go from there... make sure you have at least a d20, d12, d10, d8, 3 - d6, and a d4.

So, you folks tried out the Invasion of Theed? How'd it turn out?

 

John was the Game Master. We won the first mission and then we were just screwing around the second one and John kick our butts.

It was fun though, im going to read through the rule book in the nest day or two

And ya, big turn out last night I did'nt win any games, but i still had fun


Next games night is Monday the 24th, who's comin?

 

I should be there, but I did just find out that I have another paper due next week. So we'll see...

Yeah I am pretty keen on the RPG too...

And remember, as Games Master I am not trying to kill you or kick your butts (well maybe Danny and Alex are the exception to that ) I am just the one responsible for running the bad guys.

Going to give the rulebook a good read this week too... ran out of time tonight (wifey is sick), but should have some scans up for tommorow night.

Yeah, the GM isn't out to waste anyone. Unlike most games, RPGs are not one player versus another player. Everyone works together for the enjoyment of all. You'll see that the GM also plays Non-Player Characters (NPCs) that can help the party, as well as play the bad-guys.

I've found that the level of interaction and imagination that goes into RPGs make them among the most rewarding and enjoyable games ever! You just don't get that out of Monopoly!

 

Just an FYI:

IF YOU GO OUT AND BUY THE INVASION OF THEED BOX SET, MAKE SURE YOU DON'T READ THE ADVENTURE BOOK!!!!!!

This book contains all the secrets of the further 4 adventures we are going to be doing at next games night, so if you read them, as players it isn't going to be as much fun!!!!
