I think K2 us my favorite of the new R1 characters. Funny but not in a distracting way and the voice acting from Tudyk was great. As mentioned above, there was something very creepy (in a good way) when he gets the data from the other droid.
The only other droid to get into my heart was R2. The whole movie was awesome but I was always looking forward to the next scene with K-2SO. I think I'm in love! We need a K2 emoticon!
The thing with K2 is how on earth does he hang out with all the rebels with all his imperial signage etc. Surly many a heartbeat will have skipped more than a few beats encountering him down a dark hallway back on the base.
Along with Cassian, K-2SO is my favorite character from the film. I'm still laughing about certain things five days later. Looking forward to seeing him again on Sunday.
It was actually nice to see some comic relief come from an original idea(like 3PO's campness) with his inability to avoid saying what he was thinking rather than just someone being "zany".
Well, he does slowly transition from a selfish "Cassian and I against the world" mentality, to a deeper commitment to the broader Rogue One crew. So there was some development there.
Humpty Dumpty can't be put back together again. Everything on the base (and for hundreds of miles around) was obliterated in the DS blast.
K2 was great, but I wish I hadn't known that Tudyk was playing K2. Every time he was onscreen, I was watching for some sign of Wash. I couldn't really pay attention to the character because I wanted to see more Firefly. Also, I was dreading some kind of deeply buried Imperial override code that would reset him to default programming and turn him against the Rogues. "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"
