Apparently there's a #RogueOne fan event today where they're screening the first 20 minutes and Diego Luna is giving away 6 tickets later!


sooooo we are getting spoilers of the first 20 minutes, hmmm I for one will not read any of them.

 

If he takes part in the final space battle in R1, the seems a bit of a squeeze to me.

Yes - it seems counterintuitive given we seem to be talking about CG make-up to de-age actors, but IIRC, the Westworld Hopkins VFX were achieved using younger references of Hopkins composited over a stand-in, right? Not de-ageing Hopkins himself. I thought it was seamless.

 

Cool. I for one will read all of them Wonder when they'll actually hit.

 

First 20 minutes - Flashback scene, Jyn prison break, Mothma briefing probably cover that?

 

I think the Biggs scenes are better off non canon.
they don't fit with Luke seeing Biggs for the 1st time at Yavin if he saw him earlier in the film.

I think by ANH, Luke should be alone, no friends all which makes his life a complete bore and all he has is his imagination. He even complains a few times in the film that all of his friends left and that at this rate he'll never leave. So Han/Chewie, Leia, and Kenobi are his first friends in awhile.

As someone said before, Luke seeing Biggs for the 1st time is when Han leaves and Kenobi just died.
so seeing a familiar face gave him more "enthusiasm" for the upcoming battle.

 

Yeah. I'd rather get a glimpse of Biggs in R1 tbh. Would be very cool.

 

...Who I may or may not be visiting right after this.

Yes absolutely, I meant deaging their characters in the film/show and the technology they used for great results. With that in mind I'm hoping they can achieve the same results for Tarkin and improve on what they attempted using 12 year old technology in ROTS.

Filming the opening crawl should have been Scott Kelly's job, he was in space a whole year.

 

Naturally-occurring space crawls are a rare occurrence.
