Find someone that talks about you the way Edwards talks about Star Wars.

It’s incredible what this one spin-off film spawned. A groundbreaking new tech that will change film and TV to the core, a visual aesthetic that is now being employed across the Star Wars TV-verse (so far with the two shows we’ve seen), a digital library of 100% realistic vehicles for use across the whole franchise. John Knoll has to be like the best employee anyone could ever ask for.

The best lead of the Disney era, IMO.

This would be an intresting twist and make for a good sequel between the OT movies.

That would be terrible. There’s a reason why this alternate ending wasn’t chosen. :)

Ultimately, it's the best Star Wars movie for everyone. :)

Seriously, though, it really is the only actual "war movie" in the Star Wars canon. All the others are action-adventure/ pop mythic stories. This one, as intended by both Edwards and Gilroy (Gilroy said he approached the story as a "Battle of Britain" one, and not a swashbuckling adventure), was conceived as a war movie, written and directed like a war movie, shot like a war movie, and acted like a war movie. It's a proper war movie.

And so it's the best of the Star WARS movies.

The film is being re-released in select IMAX theaters on August 26 with an exclusive look at Andor. I really hope it’ll be in a theater close to me. I’d love to see it again.

    Maybe 7th best.

I think I'll try to go to theater and watch this movie again. I'm sure it'll play somewhere in New York.

The new poster is pretty awesome too.

I hope there is a later showing like around 10pm. I don't get off work until around 7:30 pm, so I probably won't be able to make an evening showing. I was able to catch all three screenings last November at my local AMC, so it will be really cool to be able to see it again now in IMAX. Really says something about RO that they keep putting it back in theaters, but they don't do that for any of the other movies that came out during the ST era.

Just got back from watching Rogue One at Imax in Seattle. It was fantastic! They showed the preview at the beginning, it was a lengthy scene, which we've seen part of in the Andor trailers. Apparently it will be show in Imax theaters for the next week (through Thursday September 1). I got a poster for Andor at the end and gave it to the date of a kid who had a "size matters not" shirt. I feel the poster will go to a good home :)
Sooooo much fun to see the movie again in theaters!

I also just came back from watching Rogue One on IMAX with my son. What a treat. I would say now that Rogue One is one of those few movies that gets better the more you watch it. What a great story, well told, great acting and what an amazing cinematography.
It is truly a Star Wars drama…and it is not the classic good vs evil, but it is a fight about principles. Also the contrast between Gael vs Krinnic, and story arcs of Andor and Jinn, so well done. K2SO also, what an amazing personality.

Lucas did well in re releasing.

I was really happy to see that AMC extended the re-release through Wednesday of this week. So I'm going to go see it today, tomorrow, and Tuesday since those are my days off this week.

Kind of takes me back to 2017 when I would go see Rogue One in theaters on all my days off. I saw it around 20 times back then, and I never got tired of it. It's crazy to me what a different time that was compared to now. When it was only TFA and RO that had been released, and the excitement for Star Wars was just through the roof everywhere you went. Streaming hadn't yet taken over the way it has nowadays. The entire media landscape has completely changed since then, and it wasn't even that long ago.
