Sooo, can we just skip today?

 

I think I might have to have some alcohol tonight in order to sleep.

I have class today so I agree

 

I want to see Obi-Wan in a cave trimming his beard with his lightsaber or the entire series is ruined.

 

I work nights, and won’t be able to watch until I get home about 6:00 AM. I could possibly contrive to watch it on my phone while at work, but I’d either be constantly interrupted and distracted, or I’d only be able to watch in two minute sessions. I’ll just wait to watch it until I get home and am comfortable on my couch.

 

I’m going to watch the clone wars movie with my kids tonight before Kenobi tomorrow.

 

I’ll probably watch it at 5 tomorrow. Download it and go for a walk.

I will most likely attempt to stay up, and then fall asleep at like 1 in the morning

 

So Friday morning CET. Morning coffee party. Its funny to watch Star Wars premieres in the morning. Went to 6 AM showing for TPM in 1999, in New York ( just trying to catch the movie as many times i could before returning to Europe, at that time it was a 3 month wait for it to hit my country!). So times are changing, and now feels like everything is «live» global, simultaneous. Yes its great. It feels like a cinematic event indeed. No salty popcorn or sticky candy for me though, its going to be homemade espresso and a great ham / cheese sandwich.

 

When was the last time we were all THIS excited? Man, I'm so nervous and I don't know why.

 

Words can't accurately express my excitement for this show. Not only is it a story many of us have wanted for years, but it's also sweet vindication for those of us who grew up with and loved the prequels.

After the sale to Disney, there were many, even here, clamoring or even claiming that Disney would ignore and/or straight up remake the prequels (both of which were ridiculous claims right out of the gate). Claims that we would never see prequel-era stuff on film again, that any of that sort of thing would be regulated to things like the comics and the books that a small amount of the population even read.

And here we are. We've got Ewan back, Hayden freaking Christensen and the rematch of the century. It feels good to be a Star Wars fan.

 

Throwback Thursday to that magical moment when the consistently underrated Kathy Kennedy first announced Kenobi 2 years ago:

What do y'all think will be the runtime of each episode and from here on out will the show come out on Wednesday or Friday.

Also I know there's already theories of a season 2 being floated around. I don't think we need to season 2, but it would make sense for McGregor as Obi-Wan to pop up in Andor or a couple of other shows as a cameo, or a hologram for a small scene. In fact I would be shocked if we didn't see him again, sooner rather than later.
