    The order day I ordered a plain cheese pizza for the first time in years; wanted to see what it was like after trying different combos of late, including a steak, green pepper, banana pepper, onion and bacon pizza which was my previous order.

    Both were good pizzas, but nothing beats pepperoni and sausage imo.

    It's long overdue that I try and make pizza at home. Gonna have to do some research. This could become a fun hobby during winter.

    Definitely gonna start simply, and go from there. I remember my mom making homemade pizzas and they were good, but there never seemed to be enough cheese. They were too healthy or something. :p

    No, we do have a clay Pizza tray for the standard oven but don't have a pizza oven..... yet. That may change in the future though as we have home pizza quite often.

    Why do pizza places keep asking me if I want ranch sauce? What are you supposed to do with it, just pour it over the pizza slice? Is that actually any good?

    In some places, Ranch Sauce is a thing on pizza. I skip Ranch, never was my jam and there’s enough dairy on pizza with the cheese.

    Had my first Amy’s no cheese, roasted veg pizza in months the other day. Good, but not great. We have two more here, so I’ll eat them.

    If you’re cooking pizza with fresh dough you’ll generally struggle in a regular oven. They just don’t get up to the temperature needed.

    A good quick and easy alternative is a naan bread base. Sainsbury’s ones (or any big supermarket). Not the vac-packed dry stored ones - the type you find in the chilled section

    My nephew likes ranch on his, but we usually just used the ranch dressing we have in the house for him to use rather than add the ranch to the order (unless it was Papa John's and then it automatically came with the pizza - no I haven't ordered from Papa John's since it's owner/founder came out as a racist/homophobic bigot and a Trumper)

    Terrible news. I'm burnt out from my Sunday pizza dinner ritual. I always buy it from the grocery store, it's usually Red Baron or Digiorno. I may just start ordering delivery style
