OFFICIAL RELEASE: CORUSCANT? AUDIO PARODY PRODUCTION

In the late 1990s, as production began on Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, it was revealed that the upcoming movie would show the planet known as the galactic capital of the Republic.

Star Wars fans had known the name of the planet ever since 1991, when it was first revealed in the epic novel Heir to the Empire. The only question was... how do you pronouce it?

The fans had enough trouble figuring it out. But what if the inhabitants of the Star Wars galaxy themselves... didn't know how to pronounce it? In The Phantom Menace, when Jedi duo Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi attempt to leave the planet Naboo, they get a little... sidetracked.

    A Dramedy Productions Production.

    Visit our website at [link=http://www.dramedyproductions.com/]dramedyproductions.com.[/link]

The final production is approximately 6.5MB and can be downloaded from the Dramedy Productions launch pad.

The teaser can also be downloaded from Dramedy Productions.

Hope everyone enjoys it. I know I had a blast editing it. ;)

May I be the first to give it an unbiased Thumbs Up? :D

(Yes, it's unbiased. Nevermind that I was the voice of Lucas. :p)

Seriously, I thought it was a riot. Had me laughing out loud at parts. A lot of the dialogue had a Monty Python-esque feel IMO.

Pretty dog-gone funny! Like the alien reviewer says on the website, I give it three thumbs up!

And man, that "Sharp Dressed Man" hits you like a ton of bricks! HAHAHA!!

This may not mean anything to you now, but hopefully it will in a few weeks, or at least as of Sept. 1, if we have to wait that long.

Suffice to say, I've made sure you have a link listing and news item on "Project Sonja" (well, what the real site name is).

Also, if you want to hit me with a full cast/crew listing here, I can be sure they get into the fan audio community database (think "fan audio IMDB").

Heh. Nicely done. Glad I got to participate with my TFN pals.

Best line: Qui-Gon on the living Force.
Second best line: Droid offering his opinion on the pronunciation.

I was initially skeptical that this concept could be stretched out over so long a period of time, but it worked!

    Fastest... credits... ever.

    Rick McCallum loves you!

    ZZ-Top, brilliant [face_laugh]

Good concept, exceptionally well written and finished, especially with the way it all links onto, 'He shot the pilot, lets get him!' and the fight.

    Jolly well done.

I'll make sure they get in there, probably tonight after I eat. Not that it matters, I guess, since it won't launch for a little while still, but I'll make certain they're in there.

    Congrats on finishing.

K, you guys are officially included. Not only that, but your release news and your teaser release news notes are on the news page, ready for its release.

Basically, the news page goes back to June or so, and will go up through release, and won't go into archiving until probably the end of September.

I had a lot of fun working on it. I thought it turned out really well. Looking forward to our next fan audio production (which I'll have a hand in writing).

I don't care what the others may say Jay, I think you accomplished what you set out for. There way be some echo, but then again they're in a hanger, what else do you expect? Well done, now do it again please. Looking forward to QFV.

Thanks guys. It was a hoot to make. I am planning on a sequel soon that involves yet another mispronounced name (which I don't want to go into yet). ;)

Jay: Having some email issues (basically don't want to spread a virus I think I have cleaned, but am doing a couple extra scans with different software to be sure), so I'll just post here:

Based on the file sizes you quoted to me, there should be no problem at all with hosting Coruscant. I'll work up a page this week sometime.

If you have a banner of some kind, I could use one. We're using a standard width of 427 pixels.

Also, some sort of logo about 2.5 inches wide for its menu logo.

I can just do a quick one based on the one you already have as a logo on your page, but it's up to you.

Update: Soon as I get images, I'm ready to show you the final page, Jay, which, I guess, will also be your first introduction to the new site, ey?

Well, if it's just me, I'd probably be just utilizing the image you have on the program's page right now, which I think is the same thing the RON guys used when linking to the project.

If that's okay with you, I'll go ahead and use that. If that's the case and I find out sometime in the next hour or two, I can show you the page tonight before I crash.

Muwahahahaha! Gimme like half an hour. I'll PM you when it's ready.

EDIT: Crap. Jay, I can't get to your Coruscant site. It keeps croaking on me. Can you send me the main Coruscant logo via email?

ANOTHER EDIT: AHA! Got it. Heh.

Alright, the Coruscant page is done. Jay, check it out. :)

Sometime soon, I need to mock up the RON page, then. Damn, that's a big frickin cast and crew to list too.

Ah well, I can do it.
