Exactly what it says. This is a thread dedicated exclusively to Sci - Fi and Fantasy conventions. It can be general Sci - Fi or it can be dedicated to a specific show.

Any and all information on conventions can be posted by anybody on the JC. Discussion about attending a convention should be okay and of course we'll probably all want reports from those of us JCers who attended one for how a convention went.

Much thanks to Errant_Venture for permission to create this valuable resource for Sci - Fi fans.

Here are two conventions to start this off:

The Motor City Comic Con is in May. I've been to a few in the past, and they seem to be hit-or-miss, depending on what guests and dealers are there. The upcoming one in May looks to be pretty good, with a giant reunion of cast members from the old Batman TV show (Batman, Robin, Catwoman x2, and Batgirl... along with the Batmobile, Batcycle, and Batcomputer), and with Star Wars guests such as Carrie Fisher, Warwick Davis, Matthew Wood, and Dave Barclay.

What are the dates and who from the show is attending?

I think if it has anybody related to Sci - Fi attending (even novel authors - I know I'll be trying to get and post info on the Star Trek book line's convention Shore Leave on this thread) then it counts enough to post info on it.:)

Fast EDIT: Clicking on the creation link this morning I saw that there was a Xena/Hercules convention this weekend. Here is all the information from Creation

Conor, I'm in ND, and we have one. It helps that Kevin Sorbo is from ND, since he's been in a few sci-fi/fantasy shows. And, he's come almost every year for ours.
