Two words is that it needs work.

It has alot of potential, but it is starting off to much like Voyager with the Alien of the Week theme.

Personally, I find that I'm liking the characters much more quickly in this series.

In DS9, I didn't like anyone right away. But by the end, I was impressed by almost everyone.

With Voyager, there were only 3 characters I ever liked, Seven, Chakotay, and the Doctor.....but even they had their weak moments.

IMHO, Dr. Phlox is the best doctor of any of the series'. He's my favourite character on Enterprise by far. Archer ain't bad, and I like the fact that he's a bit more rough, and unpolished than Picard. Trip is a blast, and T'Pol....well.....I'll leave it at that. ;)

Character development is quite key for this series, too. In some cases, it's great. In the fourth episode, "Dear Doctor", there's the argument between Phlox and Archer that I think could be one of the best moments in Trek history. But, there are also weak points.....the Episodes where Hoshi has been the centre of the "A" plot, have all bored me....

Anyways, there's a superficial read on my thoughts of the series.

that really is kinda funny, Phlox is the character i hate the most! They either don't seem to give him enough attention or they give him too much attention! Is it me or have we NEVER seen him out of sickbay? I know it worked on Voyager for a few years but they have to remember that he isn't a hologram.

DS9 i think by far has the best acting cast of any of the series.

Rene Auberjonois(Odo) has done 24 movies including: The Patriot, Geppetto, The Little Mermaid, King Kong, and M*A*S*H.

Andrew Robinson(Garek) has done 13 movies including: Childs Play, Hell Raiser, and Dirty Harry

Armin Shimerman(Quark) had a recuring role on more than one tv series at a time as he did Buffy in the same years as DS9

Avery Brooks(Sisko) has done 9 movies including: The Big Hit, 15 Minutes, and American History X

    And finally

Colm Meanly(Obrien) had done 22 movies including: Die Hard 2, Mystery Alaska, Con Air, Far and Away, Last of the Mohicans, and Newly released BackFlash.

I have most of Voyager and Enterprise on tape, but I'm not quite the fan that Peter's family is. They are HUGE fans. They even have a movie they made when they went to Disney- (Land or World) in Florida where they were Star Trek characters. I've only seen two of the Origional series movies.

I always thought it was funny that for special effects, Star Trek uses ILM.

I do have a car, but I work Saturdays. Plus with all the driving I have to do this month, gas is rather a large part of my budget already.

BTW, I fixed my keyboard. It now works better than before I took it apart the first time (and messed it up)
