Animated Shorts Official Star Wars: Forces of Destiny Discussion Thread

Agreed! I've enjoyed this series since the beginning. It's fun to get this 2 minute vignettes.

 

These are so much fun.

 

This new season is a huge improvement from the first. I really enjoyed everthing about these. I also thought the porgs were just adorable! I could just hug them all day.

 

The Leia, Chewie, and Maz episode was my favorite. The Luke and Yoda one was excellent as well.

 

I really like the OT centric episodes followed by the Ahsoka story in this new batch. Any word of these being released on disc? If they can't sell them alone, they could at least toss them on the Season 4 release of Rebels.

 

Once they get an hours worth or so of FoD shorts, they should be able to release them on a disc with a few special features.

I've not added up the run time of the episodes, but they must be getting close to 45 minutes by this point, right?

 

At this point including the intro I would say we are near the 50 minute mark.

 

Did anyone catch the half hour last night on Disney XD dedicated to the most recent volume of FOD shorts? It was nice watching them on the big screen. It was presented as a full volume patched together with little tidbits by Maz.

 

So they cut out the intro card?

Seriously though, that's good news. I hope they release a blu ray now.

 

Actually I didn't see the beginning of the show; I only noticed it was on in progress with my program guide and tuned in. They showed a few shorts in a row, then cut to a commercial. When they came back, Maz said a few words and more shorts were shown.

 

Was she still by the campfire or was the setup changed up a little bit?

 

I think she was at a camp surrounded by junk. The whole time she was searching for something.

 

Imagine if it was the lightsaber? That would be one way to get people to watch.

 

Nah it was something else. Didn't seem all that important.

 

It was interesting that I just watched the DVD of "Coco" and it included Leia's Ewok FOD episode where they give her the dress for the first time. It was among the "sneak peaks".

 

Huh. Coco was pretty great.

 

I didn't say anything negative about it. I just mentioned that it included the FOD episode.

 

News to me.

Ahsoka and Ezra on Atollon? - Cool. I wonder if we'll see Moira as well. I can't be the only one who chuckled when Ezra said "Hey, that bird was with Ahsoka every time she visited Atollon." Right, all one visits.

 

I was looking forward to some more lore for this new character

The emblem on the statue's helmet is the symbol of Clan Vizsla (before Death Watch, which adopted it)

 

So are we getting more Mandolorian history.
