That looks like Leia's New Hope outfit. Also does Sabine look older as well? It could be the design.

 

I think these shorts might mean that Ezra and Kanan are no longer around (not necessarily dead). If Hera has an adventure in ROTJ with Leia and Han. It means that the Ghost has met the OT heroes and given that this would contradict ROTJ if Kanan and Ezra are still around. It doesn't bode well for them.

That's why I'm fond of the idea of Hera surviving the war, being able to return to a free Ryloth. She deserves some happy ending, if it came at the cost of her lover.

it's funny that Lucasfilm were hyping that Hera will meet Leia and Han. And my reaction was EWOKS!!!!! Yes finally, they are back and seemingly Wicket as well!!!

 

We haven't seen the 'end' of Rebels yet. There is nothing to suggest Kanan and Ezra have survived.

 

Since we know there will be Ewoks, I'm hoping to see Kneesaa, considering she was the female hero of the Ewoks cartoon.

 

Asha, her older sister (present in one episode of Season One) actually got mentioned a few times in the newcanon junior ROTJ novel.

Sabine's hair looks like it has the season 3 style but the season 2 color. So it's possible she goes back to that color again.

When asked if these shorts were canon during the heroines panel, Filoni described these shorts as like being "fables....stories that have been told and retold over time."

Yeah, it seems like Maz is the narrator for these stories. But these fables are canon, from what I've read.

 

Padme not being a main character is a total slap in the face.

 

Hopefully Padme gets bumped up to main cast in "season 2"

 

Kneesaa has been reintroduced to canon in an early source book. I think "Everything You Need To Know", so if she does not show up I will be sad.

 

More visual media is always good! It's nice to have something that fills in the gaps that's not a book. A bit disappointed it's not going to be long-running though -- only 16 episodes total.

 

I dont expect much depth like CW and Rebels. They might model this series similar to the CW micro series where they gave us puzzle pieces that allude to a larger picture of the galaxy. Since we'll be jumping around in the timeline though, it will be difficult to have a coherent story, but I'm sure they'll make it clear that the female heroes were vital throughout the saga.

 

Yeah, it is going to be short stories from across the timeline with no real depth. They'll be canon, but just little lore snippets.

 

Looks neat. So do you think that the creators' idea is that it will lead into another animated TV series? Kinda like the Clone Wars micro-series did?

 

It will probably be similar to the 2003 series
