Well i guess nobody knows it so the answer is Wes Janson. He was forced to kill his father for going AWOL.

I have just read most of the x-wing books a few months ago, and the answer did not sound right to me, so I had to go through them, until I found it! It's in book 5, Wraith Squadron, chapter 4. It was Kell Tainer?s father who panicked during a mission, and tried to fly his y-wing away. That would have given the rebels away, and it was Wes Janson who blew up Kell?s father ship, to save the mission.
