Yeah, that's true...well, that's the beauty of marketing...release your anticipated product at a peak time where spending will be at a maximum. ESPECIALLY for a holiday like Christmas..where every SW fan in the WORLD is going to want this. They don't care about us having no money to buy other things...they just care about selling their product. It's a genius move. Perfect for business.

 

No one in my family will be spending $275 on me for Christmas.

I'm a Lego Maniac!

I especially like the star wars legos, my favorite being the Episode II slave I. It gets on my top ten list of best lego sets ever.

 

I love the TIE Interceptor and the Republic Gunship..

No, You can't order it online yet, but the Lego club may let you pre-order it. Unfortunatly, I haven't recived my club newsletter yet.

 

I think it said it's up for order in November, right? I thought that's what I read on the OS..

 

Im a huge sw fan but i dont want the SD! besides my parents would never spend 270$ on me for christmas even though im an only child!!!!

 

I am very impressed with the Star Destroyer.... I hope it looks as impressive in real life as the X-Wing and the Tie Intercepter look. Do you guys have any of the other collectors edition Legos? I opted not to pick up the blockade runner, but I have the X-Wing and the Tie Intercepter. They are wonderful. I thought the Yoda didn't look so good.. but the SD will hopefully make up for it. Too bad it is $269.... i have to start saving up...

 

Yeah, well, it looks like they did a good job on it...I'm not really worried about the price(thank God for credit cards)...I'm looking at my TIE Interceptor right now and they did a good job on THAT, too...but my personal favorite is, of course, the RBR. Also, next to me..

 

My favorite sets are my giant lego pirate ship, and the republic gunship, honorable runners up my space shuttle launch pad, the ep2 slave I, imperial shuttle, and one of my cool castles.

 

Well, I only have the SW ones, so I can't comment on the other sets...

 

the ISD looks awesome, but its to big for me to store and to much $$$ for me to buy.

It'd be fun to build, and I need a lego SD for my fanfilm, but maybe I'll jsut get a bunch of pictures from someone else and use photoshop to composite/animate it into the movie.

 

Shuttle Launch pad? I had one of those, the 2nd-to-last one to come out, the one with the red tower. that was a sweet set, but I'm afraid it's not going to be reconstructable, with the red pieces all scattered among different creations

also, you'd better order it when they start allowing orders, because the price will go up to 300 bucks in january

I guess that about ends my chances for getting it...

for now...
