I am only surprised with 73 for Chapter 5.

The first Chapter should also be in the 90s, I think that so far it's my favorite. It felt like a short Star Wars movie. The others didn't.

 

Chapter 4 is 91 and chapter 5 is 73?

I’ll never understand this world.

 

It's Rotten Tomatoes guys. Those are just the percentages of the critics that gave the individual episodes at least a 3.5 out of 5 or a 7 out of 10. The average score for the episodes are 7.45 and 6.5 respectively. Not a huge difference. They just happen to fall right around the tipping point between fresh and rotten.

And they both have less than 30 reviews each so those I'd put less stock in them than I usually would for RT anyway (which isn't much to begin with).

 

For me Chapter 2 is a trainwregg.

 

Chapter 2 was perfect imo from start to finish. It was just a classic little Star Wars adventure. Every other episode has at at least one tiny thing that I wish had been different or removed etc but I think 2 is flawless.

 

And it is about an egg

You mean have given him a credit? Cause that's his music. It's the theme from A Fistful of Dollars combined with The Ecstasy of Gold from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

 

So the Mando's rifle...how big of a target gets disintegrated?? Jawa and trandoshan's go all to pieces....but what if he hit something bigger like the mudhorn? Would the whole body get disintegrated or just a portion of it??

 

I'm really digging this series so far! The Western homages and overall influences are so neat!

 

No idea. Though we saw that his rifle was jammed up for the mudhorn fight (due to mud, etc) so he couldn’t use it. He also needs those disintegration cartridges, which could be expensive or even rare.

when you said chapter 2 was a trainwregg I was under the impression you didn’t like it?

 

I only gave it 4/10 but I like the show. I even like the fan service in episode 2.
I simply don't like episodes that do not drive the overall story forward

 

I can’t even fathom the thinking that leads to a 4/10 score for Chapter 2. But that’s OK. You do you!

Makes me wish they'd leaned even further into the 60s spaghetti-western thing with the show. It's there in spades, but man, go even further.

 

I'd like to see more of Jedha, it's a place that probably has a lot of stories left to tell.
