Amph Ogres are like Onions ~ 21 years of Shrek

So it was brought to my attention that Shrek came out 21 years ago today.

21 years ago.

I feel old even typing that, I was 9 when it came out.

 

You feel old? I graduated college the year before it came out.

I don't remember if I saw it in the theaters; but I probably did.

 

Remember reading a review of this when it came out that it isn't exactly timeless, it has the year date metaphorically stamped on it's head. Which is true, this isn't exactly a classic or anything. but Meyers tried to work Shrek into his latest Netflix project anyway

 

I was ten when my favorite movie, Aladdin, came out 30 years ago.

 

Ah yes, 2001, the wonderful year when there was a severe overdose of Smash Mouth’s All Star literally everywhere.

Fun vin fact. This was the first movie my wife and I went to see together. Opening night 12:30am show after a long day of work. She fell asleep and missed about an hour of the movie.

The Dulak welcome song a la riff on Its a Small World was my theme song during my last job (Managed to survive because I had that song on a loop while working.) That scene and others still make me .

 

You know there was a musical of Shrek right? The Duloc song is the best one in it.
