It's not even sincerely populist. He's basically arguing that a person's wealth reflects their worthiness to access higher education, because that is the defacto outcome of escalating tuition costs. Once again, he's trying his smart-ass routine, trying to take the other side's argument and flip it on them, but it just makes him seem like a prick to anyone who doesn't already harbor his contempt for working class people.

I think he even has contempt for his own supporters. He had his campaign encourage them to do that stupid dance but won't do it himself lol.

On the Bernie front, this is a very cute endorsement.

Kamala Harris has the same problem. He’s just much better at it than she is.

Yes - Buttigieg has the "it" factor. And ... this is America, and so there's a chance that's enough.

He gives me the desire to punch his face more than the others. Usually, politicians with this feature tend to be extremely successful at their job.

Trying to make people not want to go to college from a man who went to college and benefited greatly from it is like when stores try to sell you a smaller version of the same food for a higher price but make it seem more appealing: looking at you "Oreo Thins" and "Hershey's Air." It's deceitful and exactly what we should expect from Corporate America's presidential candidate. This "you're giving it for free to the kids of millionaires" argument can be used against free universal public schooling...wait I'm just giving these ***hats ideas aren't I.

    Debate question one:

‘Are you willing to tell Trump that he sucks?’

    All the candidates: ‘Yes.’

Bernie: ‘Yes, and so does the entire corporatist system.’

Bernie: “Now is the time for Medicare for All.”

Me, looking at all the hands that suddenly shot up: Sit down you damn centrists.

It's pretty obvious that they gave the question to Harris' campaign.
    This is just so weird.

Lol what? It was one of the worst moment of Harris ever. Have you watched the exchange 'till the end?
    She's embarrassing.

I'm not watching. Has Gabbard dragged Buttigieg down to hell yet like she did with Harris?

No, they orchestrated a moment for Harris' revenge and Gabbard owned her a second time, despite what the haters will tell.

Nah, they've only let Gabbard speak once, then tried to direct her into Harris for a rematch, and neither of them wanted to go at it. I think they are trying to keep Gabbard on a very tight leash.

I want them to ask Warren to reflect on the 50th anniversary of the Native American reclaiming of Alcatraz. :D

Yeah, her and Steyer have been called on more than Bernie I think, but that's to be expected. MSNBC has an agenda.

I'm going to eat this hat over here, but honestly? I can't rule out that they didn't implant Barack Obama's heart into Bernie Sanders' chest when he had his heart attack... his last two debate performances have been, thus far, stellar... and way funnier than he has been...

No thanks lady. The more she talks the less I like her.

    WTF was she talking about?

I’m ready to walk away if Bernie doesn’t win this, and it looks like he won’t.

Not able to watch at the moment, but what was the context of the question?

Keeping in mind her brothers were in the military, she views the military a certain way. Having said this, she also has repeatedly stated when certain problems cannot be solved with the military and must be handled with diplomacy. The Middle East was one example she brought up. If she is saying that the military should not just consist of poor men and women who look to the military for a career and an education, and that the rich should not be excused, I can understand the argument- doesn’t mean I agree however.
