My earliest memorable interactions were being moderated by Iron_Parrot and thinking that C_Creepio was my bestest pal on here.
I actually have a few good memories of this place over the years. Not around as much anymore, but things like the Refuge, Darth Kimball, SWMCMMJ, Chyren, and many of our old time internet dramas that we all took super seriously. Damn, this place has been around for 20 years, and its been almost 19 years since I registered this account. That blows my mind. I'm freaking old.
Just another senior citizen checking in. I stepped a way for a while, and have never been a prolific poster, but I'm still here. I had no idea the Council had just started when I joined up. I had a lot of fun talking about the EU and the upcoming fist prequel back in the day. By the way, is there any way to find out the 12 (Jedi Council number) oldest active accounts here? That would be fun anniversary-related info.
You might hold the record for oldest account. All Hail Etav. To answer a previous question - Yes, all are welcome!
Close, but not quite. I know Kyle Katarn has me beaten by 18 days. All Hail Kyle Katarn! (And re-canonize him!)
Somewhat arbitrary but as I say in the opening post, ALL are welcome and I mean that. So...why 2002? The internet and more specifically, the nature of fan speculation and discourse seemed to have changed by the mid 2000s. It was very much still the wild wild west in 2002. By 2005 you had 100s of SW sites and a deluge of information sources (both reliable and not). By 2005, StarWars.com wasn't the primary source of SW info whereas before, we relied heavily on the teasers they put forth. I knew the shift happened in the early 2000s so I just cited the AOTC release date as a demarcation line.
Havent been here in forever, glad to see its still around in some form. Miss the old forums and the look, but excited to see still some old faces in here. Hope everyone is doing well ! Wanted to say howdy ! Hopefully I can reconnect with some old faces in here !
Hi there! It's great to see that so many people are dropping by for this, even if they haven't posted in a long time.
Checking in! TFN has been my home page for 19 years. I just turned 52; I've got my health, a sense of humor, and OT curtains hanging in my kitchen. Star Wars is everywhere. Things are good. I fondly recall heated PT threads about the true identity of Sidious. Good times. I will be forever grateful for this site.
