i've been reading the clone wars comics (from 2003) via a torrent and i swear i can hear some of the clone wars (from both 2003 and 2008) actors in my head voicing the lines

I received The Thrawn Trilogy today from Amazon, three weeks before the estimated delivery time (ha, and they tried to get me pay more for faster shipping). I now have all the released Omnibuses and Hardcovers, and I feel that this is the moment when I have to give a big hearty thank you for everyone at Dark Horse who have made these collections happen.

Look at that sweet line. 29 Omnibuses and 4 Hardcovers, together they have 14 116 pages of Star Wars comics. I don't think I would ever have bought this many Star Wars comics if it weren't for these collections.

Just bought all the omnibi that I didn't have. What got me over the line is those Wild Space collections. What a tremendous initiative, it just keeps impressing me. Looking forward to reading all the stuff I never got to.

Outside of what's been collected now, what else needs to be omnibusised for people like myself with foggy memories?

Dark Empire, Legacy, the TOR stuff, Tales, TCW, Crimson Empire...

The only thing that would make me happier would be Reversal of Fortune/Evasive Action, but I can understand why they probably won't get a gig.

In terms of pre 2006 stuff the only major series left is Tales (Dark Empire and Thrawn are in the hardcovers but its unsure if they'll be put into papaerback omnis), other then that a couple of more recent series and some various random small comics are all thats left.

In terms of the Hyperspace webcomics I wouldn't be surprised if they collect those, what with Podracing Tales being put into Wild Space 2 (NEXT WEEK AAAAHHHH) I'm sure whatever exclusivity they had to Hyperspace is looonnnnng gone.

Apologies for the double post, but I forgot: My all time favourite, Jedi vs. Sith... still don't know where that'll fit in. Maybe with the TOR stuff?

Or with KE for a NSW omni. If they're still sticking to vague chronology+theme, Spiral would fit better with the TOR stuff.

I'm betting they'll wait a few years with JVS and stick it with the fifteen issues of Knight Errant to make a New Sith Wars omnibus.

Any chance they'll collect the Clone Wars digest trades? The new Adventures omnibus makes it seem like they will.

Still upsets me that they started publishing some series out of order, particularly the Clone Wars Omnibuses. I still prefer the TPBs for that series. Another omnibus idea that they haven't made which would collect some orphaned comics is:

    Star Wars Omnibus: New Republic
    Jedi Academy: Leviathan
    Union
    Chewbacca
    Invasion

It would also be great if they could collect the canon Tales stories and collect them in order by era. [face_dancing]

Most likely, however, they would put Leviathan, Union, and Chewbacca into a New Republic omnibus, then put the Invasion series into a separate omnibus volume of its own.

I think they could fit them into one. I believe Invasion has 3 story arcs. So it would be 6 arcs all together. They managed to fit the 6 movie adaptions series into one omnibus.

I like the idea of grouping JvS with Knight Errant. I hope they keep it separate from KOTOR. I also never got the chance to read the Clone Wars digests. I would definitely be willing to pick them up in an omnibus.

Those had fewer pages, though. Putting all six of those NR story arcs together would make for a HUGE omnibus, most likely thicker than any that have been released yet.

Bit late for it, but I wish Shadows and Light had been included in the KOTOR omnibus, since it was technically a KOTOR story (even though it was Tales), and it was illustrated by Dustin Weaver, who worked regularly in the KOTOR series.

Yeah! KOTOR arrived today! Love these comics! My library has either gotten rid of the first half of the series or has it in storage, so having this in my hand is like a wave of two-year-old nostalgia!

Hey, before Wild Space 2 comes out on wesnesday, did we ever get a full listing of what would be included? We were able to extrapolate alot from the summary but if i remember there were still some holes in terms of page count.
