Medical Physician of Naboo

En route to Coruscant: Entry 3

The most peculiar thing just happened. I received a communication in my room from the medical administrator at the Center in Theed. It appears someone, somehow tried to access several of the employee files - current and retired. Mine was one of them. She?s not certain how it was done since there were no signs of a break in, but when the supervisor for medical records arrived this morning he discovered the computer system was off line. A quick analysis revealed tampering, but it seems to have come from an outside source. As in outside the Center.

This is incredibly odd, not to mention upsetting. What would anyone want with my information? (or anyone else?s for that matter) I?ve never lived an exciting life. I admit being Padmé?s physician when she was Queen was wonderful - it did increase the number of patients I saw - but it wasn?t anything glamorous. I just went about doing my job and making sure she was healthy. Not to mention hiding the ridiculous number of bruises and scrapes she got when she was ?bored?. The fact that she was able to find time to be bored during her busy daily schedule still humors me.

So I wonder why anyone would want access to my medical records. If they were looking for dirt on me or Padme to give to those disgusting holo-gossip channels they?re going to be sadly disappointed.

To think that?s what someone might have been trying to do infuriates me. I know Padmé has her detractors; she even has them on Naboo, her home planet! But to think someone might be trying to find some dirt on her to expose to the galaxy is beyond repulsive. And that they would have the audacity to try and go through me! Neely had better make sure they do a thorough investigation.

Now I could be jumping too quickly here. Someone could be trying to find something on me alone but I highly doubt that. I have nothing of importance or significance to hide. There?s nothing, period.

And I could just be over reacting. My file wasn?t the only one that someone tried to get access into. There were several others, and it was a combination of those currently working at the Center and some who have retired.

This just doesn?t sit well with me. I?m going to contact Neely as soon as I?m settled on Coruscant. Hopefully she will have something more to tell me. Hopefully something positive.

 

Oh goodness... tampering with the good doctors files- I would have to say that I would also be infuriated at this. I'm wondering if slimy Palpy was behind this?? Can't wait for more, very interesting update.

 

I don't have a very good feeling about this. Considering the stuff Padme's involved in, I sense there are dark forces at work. *Shakes head* I hope she knows what she's getting into.

Oh, and she's not over-bearing, at least not any more than a mother of two almost grown-up girls who has been treating multitudes of patients for years is allowed. No, she sounds just right. It makes her more real, that little bit there.

Uh oh.... and so the plot thickens

I'm glad the good Doctor is fore-warned - as it means she'll be even more cautious going into the whole situation with Padmé. I particularly like the protective overtone of the whole entry. How she's determined not to let her presence affect Padmé in a negative way. *grin*

I wouldn?t be happy either if I found out someone was trying to get into my files. Because Madelae is en route to Coruscant she can?t go there and demands some answers because she certainly wants some. And is it Palpy? Anything is possible. He always seemed f to know what was going on in Padmé?s life.

Something?s definitely going on here. Dark forces could be at work. She?s known Padmé her entire life and while having treated her since a baby she doesn?t know everything about Padmé even though she likes to believe she does.

Oh, and she's not over-bearing, at least not any more than a mother of two almost grown-up girls who has been treating multitudes of patients for years is allowed. No, she sounds just right. It makes her more real, that little bit there.

Thank you. Yep, she has her years of experience to fall back on when dealing with Padmé. She?s modeled after the two doctors who took care of my kids for years until they both retired. They were fun, witty women who were also very no nonsense.

And she?ll take this little warning sign and tuck it away in the back of her mind. There?s definitely no way she?s forgetting something like that. You?re right; it?ll make the whole thing with Padmé something to keep a close eye on but she doesn?t want to interfere or become a problem.

Hard to imagine a Queen bored. But, apparently Madelae saw a lot of that.

Madelae definitely wants to know who is trying to find info on her or something somehow related to Padmé. It could be a number of people, all who have motives of their own. But the thing is, she doesn?t know about these motives. So it leaves her stumped and concerned.

Thank you! I'm glad you got a kick out of that. I know I've seen what boredom can do to a person no matter how busy they are. I can see Padmé bringing boredom to a whole new level.

I'm in the middle of a medication change with my son so my time on the boards will be scarce. I did get this done since writing helps me relax once my kids are in bed. So, here's entry #4.

Coruscant: Entry 4


She?s pregnant?

She?s pregnant!

I can?t believe this. Padmé is pregnant! My favorite patient is going to be a mother.

She?s not a little girl anymore. She?s definitely all grown up. OH! Just the thought of her doing?and with whom?! And end up pregnant.

She told me the father is her husband so at least she?s married. I can handle her doing well?that knowing she?s been wed.

She?s married and pregnant! I feel so old now.

For some odd reason she won?t tell me who her husband and the father is. She?s says she can?t, that it?s a secret. Oh, Padmé, what kind of trouble are you in now?

I think I need a drink. I don?t even consume alcohol and I need something.




Coruscant: Continuation of Entry 4

I have my head on straight again and my wits about me. I never thought I?d come to Coruscant to retrieve my stomach and temporarily lose my senses. I knew something was amiss when I arrived at the space port and a Captain Typho was there to escort me to the Med Center. He didn?t say much until we were in a small private shuttle but even then all I got was that Padmé was looking forward to seeing me. I asked him what I was needed for and all he said was that I?d find out when I got to the Center. It reminded me of the days when Padmé was Queen and Captain Panaka would escort me into the palace for secret appointments.

This secret, however, is the biggest one I?ve been a part of yet. Truthfully, this news of Padmé?s was just so shocking. It?s been a several hours now since I found out and I?m still having trouble digesting this rather large morsel of information.

Padmé?s having a baby. Padmé?s married and having a baby.

I need to stop lingering on this. I can?t help it, however. I never expected to arrive on Coruscant and be pulled into this game of charades, as Padmé has calls it. She actually felt the need to ask me if I would play along. I?m almost insulted. She should know better after all my years of service. I guess I can?t blame her. This isn?t like me covering up a broken arm or sprained ankle. She and her handmaidens have crafted quite the tale here. I don?t have the full story but I will soon. All I know is that her marriage and this baby must remain a secret no matter what. No one, not even her family must know about it.

This part troubles me because I know how important family is to her. But it must be a serious situation if they can?t know. It is unfortunate Jobal and Ruwee must be kept in the dark.

She?s happy and excited, though, that?s what matters the most. And in time I?ll learn who this mystery husband of hers is.

The thing is to get her to listen and to take care of herself and this baby. I?m not happy that she already almost miscarried. But then it always has been in Padmé?s nature to push herself too hard. I hope she realizes she can?t do that this time.

I?ve been able to go over her file and run some more tests and everything checks out fine. She and her baby are doing well and I intend to keep it that way. She may very well hate me by the time this baby is born. She knows I?m in this for the long haul.

Oh my, I?m tired. It was a long flight and rather eventful day. I think I?ll retire and settle myself in here tomorrow. These accommodations Padmé?s handmaidens arranged for me are rather nice. I really must thank those two.

Tomorrow, after a good night?s sleep. I need to contact Cesar first. Let him know I arrived safe and sound then I?ll turn in.

 

Poor Dr, that will throw you for a loop, a secret baby, secret marriages and travel woes.

I hope Cesar makes her feel better.

Good work hope you son feels better on his new meds.

And then you take it the next step further and actually describe our good doctor as she's being drawn into the web of intrigue.

I loved the sentiment behind lines like these: "She may well hate me by the end of this" *snicker* I think that has yet to be seen!

Oh Daenarrah, I'm so glad to this wonderful fic updated (even though I hope your son gets better). Wonderful reaction by the good doctor about Padme being pregnant- you can hear it in your head. Loving the point of view from Madelae about Padme's situation. Can't wait for more of this fic and Birth Rite, I'll be waiting anxiously.

Loved Wordas' shock over learning Padme is married and pregnant. Nothing like a seeing someone you've known from birth all grown up and about to become a mother to make you feel your old.

Isn?t that the truth? I?m not sure which is harder for her, knowing Padmé is all grown up, married and pregnant or that it makes her feel old.
