[ON HOLD] FanForce Community Wide Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Tournament!

ATTENTION ALL GBG GAMERS!

It is time to start flexing those RTS muscles - FFC is hosting a FanForce wide GBG tournament!

I'll be acting as Tourney Host and depending on number of interested contestants, we'll be either doing round robin or bracket-style with no seeds - just random population of the bracket.

As if you didn't already know, this tourney has been put on hold due to Darth RL. Updates about this will come in the next month or so...

 

This sounds interesting, although I don't have a clue what it will involve!

But I do enjoy some good RTS muscles.

I'm considering giving it a shot even though I'm way out of practice. Just have to find the disks to load them on the Galactica (aka my new computer), that may be the real challange.....

 

Yeah, I don't have it. Plus I'm on a mac, and I'm not sure if it is out for mac yet.

 

Tis, but it doesn't work well with the PC version.

A friend of mine has the game, so I'll just go steal it off of him.



Although, I've only ever played it once before. I hope my skill at AoM can make up for my lack of knowledge.

No one I know really plays anymore, I'm kind of bored with playing against the computer all the time.

 

This game will run on pretty much any machine that's at least 4 years old.

The rules will be post very shortly. So far, I'm a little disappointed by the lack of interest here in FFC, but I suppose we'll get word out to the Chapter Reps and spread it as far as possible. C'mon! Bragging rights for your entire chapter!

 

I am honestly not familiar with this game..... is it only PC format? I just recently started playing SW BF 2 online and I have to admit its alot of fun playing online with everyone.

If they have it for PS2 I would be willing to give it a shot

 

It's just for PC. That'd be a hard on to play on a consol.

I'm kind of interested, too. I haven't played the game in a long time, but I still have it. Will it be the clone wars expansion, too, or no?

When it is will also affect whether if I can play or not.

 

If everyone that signs up has the Clone Campaigns, then yes we will be using it.

And I'm hoping to kick it off shortly, depending on how all the school finals are scheduled for those that are in school/university...

 

Oh this sounds like fun, that is a great multiplayer game. It is one of my favorite LAN party games when I find people who have it

Some of our meetings dissolve into playing that game any ways

 

I will pass this along to my group.. though I have to admit I am not sure how many of them are PC gamers.. most of them are XBOX guys. Here's hoping a few of them participate, if I could play games I would do it myself... I have the PC for it.. but no knowledge of the game AT ALL!!

 

Oh it is a great game CathieCat, and not expensive to buy at all. I got my brother one about a year ago brand new for $10.
