This should be cool, hopefully wrapping up the stories of a number of Jedi we don't know the fates of. Even Piell, anyone?

    Commander Bow, eh?
I wonder if he's the Deviss look-alike that got decpitated.

I don't think so, since Bow files the reports on the Jedi who died after the look-alike had his neck redecorated.

Okay. And don't you mean Lt. Galle instead of
"Galla"? That's what his name was in Reversal of Fortune.

So he's the Appo-lookalike that serves as Vader's backup on Kessel?

    That's probably him.

I wrote a Shaak Ti entry. Lucasfilm nixed it.

The tricky part, as you can guess, is figuring out which death of hers is the official one (Grievous killing her aboard the Invisible Hand, or Anakin killing her in the Jedi Temple). I went with the latter, but LFL is apparently subscribing to the idea that because Shaak Ti has already cheated death twice, it'd be a shame to retroactively kill her off now. Note that elsewhere in Insider #87, Pablo Hidalgo states "In fact, there's no reason to believe that she died at all."

    Hmmmmmm...

If anything became canon, it would have to be the Order 66 version, since we see Shaak Ti in RotS after Palpatine was rescued and the Invisible Hand crashed.

The Lego Star Wars game also supports the Anakin-kills version, but I don't know how canon that is. :p

    >>>Let me guess: Shaak TV? <<<

    Even better, Shaak Fu! 8-}

Commander Bow is new, invented for this article when I realized that I couldn't have the headless body of Commander Appo file the paperwork on Roan Shryne.

Lucasfilm, however, has not completely set in stone the timing of Purge in relation to Dark Lord, so you'll notice that the subject is somewhat vague. While my assumption is that Purge definitely takes place before Dark Lord, the fact that Bow filed the Purge paperwork shouldn't imply anything of substance. As Lucasfilm told me when I asked: there are a lot of clone commanders.

Doesn't Purge have to take place DURING Dark Lord? Purge is dated 1 month after After Episode 3, and Part IV of DL occurs 2 months AE3, with Part I obviously occuring during ROTS. But Parts II & III are pretty much back-to-back and are definitely a month before Part IV, so that gap seems the most likely place Vader would have time for the events of Purge and still have time to recover from the injuries and damage sustained, as well as occur during a timeframe when Vader was still obsessed with killing the Jedi.

You're right. I meant to say that Purge takes place before the end of Dark Lord (i.e. Roan Shryne gets placed later in the death list than Bultar Swan).

Another interesting thing here, dating-wise, is the reference to Jerec as an acquisition, which means that the Tremayne portions of Evasive Action: Recruitment take place before this report, since Tremayne was said to have hunted Jerec down and turned him in TEGTC.

It seems likely now that Jerec was responding to the Templ distress beacon, doesn't it?

Except Lego Star Wars has her dying in the Jedi Temple. So it's already slipped out into something official that she's dead....

Is it possible that the 'acquisitions' comment for Jerec was that he was already in the service to the Empire, but just that he was marked as being a candidate for conversion as opposed to just another one marked for death?

If George decides to save the character for the series or later EU works, then we get a minor retcon about the game that Vader offed another of her species. *shrugs*

Taken literally, it's likely a reference to his previous vocation in the Jedi Order...though I wouldn't necessarily rule out an "ironic" double-meaning to the tag, given what we know's in his immediate future.

Just noticed something else about Shaak Ti. Her poster is on the cover along with a bunch of other Jedi, in the bottom left of the cover. But, her's lacks the killed/captured stamp just like Kenobi's and Yoda's...
