OOC Out of Bounds (The ELL OOC Thread)

There is no power at my house and a high wind warning for the next 24 hours. LFL scores may not happen on Sunday.

 

I wonder how many Enarc students (or hell, players) are torn between being happy that they pulled off the upset and, well, upset that their bracket is busted?

 

Hope all is well! Stay safe and break out the candles for game night. Maybe you've got Star Wars Clue hanging around? If I'd made ELL: The Board Game, I would recommend that...but currently that doesn't exist.

Any true Enarc student would have had their school winning in their bracket. Well, at least in one of their brackets. I know that if a #16 ranked Cal UBSD beat a #1 seed I wouldn't care if my bracket was toast.

And @Bardan_Jusik, for the first time the Bak10 is getting a championship game!!! I need to work up headlines for that.

 

I wonder why we haven't had a bracket pool in this game yet, like March Madness. I know @Bardan_Jusik already knows the results going in, but no one else does. We could build our own brackets.

 

Posts like that have a way of inciting just those ideas. I'm down for 290!

 

I'll find a bracket generator to use for next season.

 

There's always the backside of a napkin and a ballpoint pen.

 

I just use an Excel spreadsheet, but I'm not going to upload that.

Commissioner's Trophy? This deserves a post from me. Which I shall write later this week. Probably Tuesday evening, but who knows?

Oh @Trieste, remind me who presents the Commissioner's Trophy? And would it have been ready and waiting at the Officers' game (at Coruscant), since it was theirs to lose, or would the presentation wait until the Conference Final where it could be done in front of the home crowd?

 

What a heartbreaker end to Christine’s career. End of an era.

 

The tradition has been that the trophy has been on hand for the team for whom it was theirs to lose (man, that was a tangled sentence construction) at the potentially-clinching game. Therefore, the Commissioner's Trophy would have been on Coruscant. Had the Officers stumbled and another team taken it, the Trophy would have been awarded at the appropriate Conference Final game.

Ever since Esther Gondorf moved on, it's been a little hazy who does the presentation. I think it's been an unnamed official. However, the Commissioner always attends the Commissioner's Trophy-winning team's home playoff game, so Fenrir will be in the house so maybe it'll be a...

These are the sorts of things that happen once i start rolling actual scores. I don't add weight or give bonus rolls to the elite level teams, so it's anyone game.
