OOC Out of Bounds (The ELL OOC Thread)

Wow, Lucicar are not doing very well this season are they.

 

Officially, nowhere yet. But Bakura now has the claim to being closest.

Stats and standings are now updated!

• The Sages have climbed out of last place in points allowed with their win.
• Lucicar is in the tie for first-place. They also have the best points allowed in the league. So I'd disagree that they're not doing well.
  
• The 4-2 and 3-3 ties in the standings are indeed in that order based on head-to-head records between the tied teams.
• ...but, per the rules post, this season:

• I suspect we're going to need extra games in a few weeks.
• Yes, I realize the post is vague on how the extra games will be decided. That's by design...because I kicked the can down the road. @jcgoble3 has been helpful in detailing how three-way ties are broken in MLB for extra games. He and I will talk about that should it become necessary.
• As a reminder there will be no scores this week. You have extra time to post to get your bonus potential for the last game of the season. (A reminder: you only get bonus potential in the playoffs if you posted in half of your regular season games. I haven't looked, but I suspect some teams are on the bubble. Some might even need extra games to reach the threshold.)

 

Thanks for metting us aware of this. I had no idea as I have not been keeping track of it TBH. Who is Lucicar tied with?

 

Bakura, Lucicar, and Maridun are all tied at 4-2.

I'm disappointed that we didn't get extra games.

 

The teams did good this season. Especially the Bakura Miners.

 

It was only just barely that we avoided extra games! Had the Miners/Officers game gone the other way in overtime, we would have had four teams tied at 4-3 vying for three playoff spots. Off the top of my head, I think we would have played three extra games in that scenario. It would have been an elimination bracket. Winners of the first two go to the playoffs, losers play an elimination game for the final playoff spot. What do you think, @jcgoble3 ?

 

Without looking at the old MLB procedures, I believe that's correct.

 

And this is what's great about limmie: the Neir All Stars aren't just playing in their first final: they're hosting it too!

And while I imagine this Final is going to tie Wit in knots, I think this time he likes that point differential. I think One Eye had some tricks ready for Leigh.

New game thread is up! If I don't hear from you (either via PM about a new character or by way of posting your existing character in the new thread), your team will be dropped and replaced. I have a feeling we might get some NPC teams this season, which opens up a lot of fun possibilities.

The galactic cup final will likely take place April 9th? That's my birthday. What on earth.

We've had some crazy player characters before, but a non-sentient pet is the best one yet. I can't wait to see what stories you tell from the dog's perspective.
