I did. Good show. I'd never seen Black Sabbath or Judas Priest live before,so that made it extra special. And I got in for only 40 clams!

Did they have any autographing sessions set up at the sencond stage area? Like they did with Cradle of Filth last year.

I wanna get my Burn the Priest 7"s signed by the Lamb of God guys.

I wasn't aware of any autograph sessions. I never went to the second stage. I just went in at the time that Superjoint Ritual was playing.

Didn't Phil Alselmo get done for racism again?

Apparently he shouted "White Power" at the crowd.

Didn't go this year, but I did go to it in 2001 when Black Sabbath last played. That year had a great lineup (Manson, Disturbed, Linkin Park, etc) and some interesting smaller acts (Nonpoint, No One, Systematic, Drowning Pool).

Wasn't too crazy about this year's lineup. (same goes for this year's DFP- the lineups since 2001 have kinda sucked).

OHH MY EYES, Did I see that correctly. What are you kidding me? This is one of the best Ozzfest lineups yet.

Although I would rather see Cradle on the big stage instead of Dimmu.

"Wasn't too crazy about this year's lineup."

Are you serious? This year's lineup is incredible...

- Black Sabbath (though it isn't the TRUE BS without Bill Ward)
- Hatebreed
- Lamb of ****ing God [face_devil]
- Slipknot
- Superjoint Ritual
- Bleeding Through
- Devil Driver
- God Forbid
- Atreyu
- Otep
- Throwdown
- Lacuna Coil

Twelve of the most kick-ass bands around, right there. I wish I could've gone... :(

Nothing'll top the Main Stage from 1997, though...

- Ozzy
- Black Sabbath
- Machine Head
- Pantera
- Fear Factory
- Marilyn Manson
(back when he was making good music)
- Powerman 5000 (back before they were ruined by commercialism)

All the Main Stage is anymore are crappy, unoriginal mainstream bands (for the most-part...there are still some really cool bands on the MS). The second and third stage bands are where it is at. I tend to expend all of my energy at these stages, and sleep through a good portion of the Main Stage.

Wow! No one is giving props to one of the best bands around, JUDAS F'N PREIST!!!!! I heard they stole the show. Sadly, I couldn't catch the show, but Preist has a new album coming which means they'll be back soon. LONG LIVE ROB HALFORD, THE METAL GOD!!!!!!!!!

I have nothing but respect for Judas Priest...and can acknowledge that they are one of the pioneers/masters of metal...but I just have a hard time getting into them. Not sure why.

I went to OzzFest back in July, and it was sweet...

And unless I'm going crazy, I'm 100% sure Bill Ward was playing with Sabbath...

Really? I thought I read a report that he was unable to make the tour due to health conditions, or something. That's awesome, then!

Well, my question was answered this weekend, they will have an autographing area next to the second stage.

Personally I never really liked Rob Halford. Just my personal taste.

They've never really had a good line up on the main stage as far as I'm concerned but, there's always one band on the main stage I wanna see.... This year it's ******' SLAYER. And I also wanna see Dimmu Borgir since I didn't get to see them on the Puritanical tour when I was suppose to.

I love the lineup this year. Slipknot, Dimmu Borgir, and Lacuna Coil have to be the most incredible recent bands there, and of course the old schoolness of Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Slayer.

I came about two inches close to going to Ozzfest... but then complications came up and I couldn't make it. [face_beatup] Whaddya know. I was especially looking forward to Slipknot, because I wanted to see them perform stuff from the new album (which I adore), but such is life. *sniffle* :_|

Obviously you've never been to Ozzfest. It isn't just strictly metal bands. They have had alot of hardcore bands and some punk bands, too. So Atreyu--which fits in both categories--doing Ozzfest isn't out of the ordinary by any stretch of the imagination.

"Punk Rawks!!!!!!!!"

It has its moments.

"Metal Doesn't"

Wrong.

Lenny speaks the truth.

I went to Ozzfest in San Bernadino and had agreat time. A mini-riot broke out after slayer but luckily I was far away enough to just watch the skinheads chase out the security and then get pepper-spray grenaded, but unfortunately all the plastic-buring bonfires prompted my freinds and I to leave halfway through Judas preist :(

PS, Blink 182 isn't punk and doesn't rawk.

All that crap happened at the San Bernardino show? That sucks. I went to the Mountain View show and I didn't see even a single fight(or fire).

Some Punk does "Rawk" as you say .... like: Rudimentary Peni, Crass, Antischism, Oi Polloi and so on...

Metal Does "Rawk" as well ... too many to list off the top of my head... COF, Slayer, Morbid Angel, list could go on and on.

Where is Cobra?
