I was reading through the new insider and I saw the dude's question about the Emperor's Statue being torn down in the ROTS special edition. Does anyone have a good close up pic of that statue? I can't really tell how it looks from all the pics I've seen. Thanks

I think I mentioned this somewhere else before...but if the Imperials are still controlling Coruscant, why are people tearing down his statues?
If you don't follow EU then think what you will but the EU explanation is that groups of rebels, affiliated to the rebel alliance or not in some cases, spread the news of Palpatine's death. As we see there is much rejoicing and demonstrations, what we don't see is the Imperial response which according to the EU was swift and brutal - Stormtroopers were sent in to disperse the crowds and reassert Imperial rule and they went in guns blazing.
Stormtroopers were sent in to disperse the crowds and reassert Imperial rule and they went in guns blazing. That's what I thought. But then the whole point of the victory celebration scenes was to show that everyone's gonna live happily ever after now that Palps is dead. Of course we all know that that's not true, but I still think the movie works better without those scenes.
