    Here in the UK British Airways has stopped flights to and from mainland China while the situation is assessed. Flights to Hong Kong are unaffected so far.

    Apparently the virus dies from heat and alcohol, which makes me pretty calm that the first Nordic case was a Chinese tourist in Finland. Since Fins are happiest with a bottle of vodka in the sauna it shouldn't spread from there.

    Reportedly a huge surge in viewership of the 2011 movie Contagion over the past week. Funny how that works. If a potential planet-killing meteor is reported I guess people’s response would be to sit at home & watch Armageddon.

    No, you forget the nuke & launch Bruce Willis directly at it. Does nothing to the asteroid but it takes people’s minds off things for a while.
