Particle trails

    Greetings,

    I have been playing around with Max 4's particles and what I'm trying to do in Max is something that I can produce in Particle Illusion with ease.. Trails.

    So far the closest I've been able to come is actually to make each particle a emitter and use particle combustion. However doing this results in long render times and doesn't yeild very pleasing results..

    Any help, plugins, tips, tricks, ect?

    I think that actually looks really cool. Did you have to animate each individual peice of debris/emitter?

    Max 6 has "particle flow" which is awesome for this sort of thing.

    Particle flow for Max 6... Since I don't have Max 6 that's probably not much help. :) Anything at all that's similar or possible in Max 4? I realise I'm probably reaching, but I figure it's worth a shot.

    There are particle plugins. I found one a long time ago, but I don't remember where it was. It was on a tutorial with how to make the asteroid in the opening credits of Star Trek DS9. (Keeps looking)

    no, particle flow was introduced in Max 6...
