Phoenix Comicon 2009 is being held at the Mesa Convention Center. The Mesa Convention Center is a full-service event facility located in the heart of downtown Mesa, Arizona. The Center is located on 22 acres of mature parkland. The Center is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, and is easily accessed via the Loop 202, Loop 101, and US 60.

Sunday Single Day Membership $15

Now till January 21st, you may purchase a full event membership for only $30.

Full event memberships purchased at the door will be $35.

Full event memberships grant access to our convention for the entire weekend INCLUDING Thursday Preview Night, along with any exclusives that may be forthcoming (posters, comics, etc). The only way to get in on Thursday Preview Night is to purchase a full event membership.

Kids 12 years and younger now get in for free with a paid adult membership.

Some info on some of the guests-

Terry Moore is the creator of the popular series "Strangers in Paradise" will be attending the Phoenix Comicon. This is Terry Moore's first appearance at our show. His work has won him recognition in the comics industry, including receiving the Eisner Award for Best Serialized Story in 1996.

Tim Seeley is a returning Phoenix Comicon guest who previously attended our September 2006 show. He is the Staff Artist for Devil's Due Publishing and the writer and creator of Hack/Slash. He hails from a small town in the middle of Wisconsin.

Sean Galloway is an artist, penciller, character designer, conceptual designer, and toy designer for projects from the top comic publishers (Marvel, Dark Horse, DC, Image) to Disney, Hasbro, Sony, and Dreamworks productions. He did cover art for Teen Titans Go, penciller on Venom, and lead character designer for Spectacular Spider-man Animated series and the Hellboy animated movies. Also known as "Cheeks".

Scott Clark stared his career at 18 working on various small press titles and joined Homage Studios in 91 as an intern. When Image was founded, he began his first regular series, Stormwatch, which he is still probably best known for. After working on a wide range of projects including Wildcats/Spawn, Alpha Flight, X-men covers and more, he went into video games to work on Final Fantasy IX as a concept artist. After games, Scott founded Cybereye Studios, focusing on 3d graphics and animation, which quickly acquired several high profile clients including the Department of Defense and Launchpoint Technologies, producing large scale pre-visualization animations and graphics for multi-million/billion dollar mass transit systems that are currently being planned for international and military use. Getting the itch to draw again, Scott?s now working on several projects for Marvel including Hulk Family, covers for Models, INC., and the upcoming X-Men: Sword of the Braddocks, and continues to direct operations for Cybereye Studios.

Another SW guest added- artist Dan Parsons!

Dan Parsons has been called a lot of things...but for the last 7 years he has mostly been called 'Inker' on various Star Wars titles from Darkhorse Comics. Starting with SW: Republic and SW:Jedi, he has also worked on SW:Knights of the Old Republic, SW:Legacy and most recently SW: Clone Wars. He is also known for his long running creator owned indy titles Harpy and Savage Planet.
