Pilots and Their Relaxation On Base (Post All Questions And Answers Here...)

Ok, that was one weird title, but I couldn't think of anything else. Anyways, the questiobn is do they have actual bars on base?

The reason I'm asking this is because I want to know if a pilot during the NJO series, especially during the Rebel Dream/Rebel Stand part, would be able to go into a bar, or if they could just go into a lounge...

Do you guys understand what I'm asking?

 

there'd probably be a lounge. as for alocohol...anything they served would have to be pretty mild, methinks, as they're pilots, and have to fly at any given moment.

Yeah...I just wasn't sure if they'd have actual bars, or if the alcoholic drinks would just be served in a pilot's lounge...

I remember them having some sort of lounge for pilots in Solo Command.

 

I assume there would still be a place like Down Time, where they hung out in the X-Wing series.

 

I don't know about SW versions, but military bases do have bars on them, and I have known a few real life pilots who had no problem drinking during their off hours. Usually they have a schedule of shifts so they would know when they needed to be sober.

Another Question: Would pilots go to a lounge if they wouldn't to get something to eat? Or would they go some place else?

 

I know in the books some of the pilots hung out in lounges or common areas dedicated to the unit. I think the pilots have their own stashes of alcohol, but they don't drink when unless they expect to not be seeing some action.

As far as eating, they would go to the mess or dining hall.

I think that they can drink more freely (and have drinks that have a higher alchol level) during a celebration.I think.
