Argh. I adore Pink Floyd, but these sorts of things are inevitably awful. I'll prepare for the worst and hope for the best, I guess.

 

Definitely not something that was on anyone's radar screen, probably in or out of the industry.

 

Anyway, we will buy this.

Anyone care enough about the remixed pile of Rick Wright keyboard noodlings to have bothered to listen to The Endless River?

 

Anyone actually have this? Is it any good? I thought about picking it up in town today but figured I'd wait to see a review or two.

Well, I guess that's some money saved then. I was afraid it might be something like that. I'll wait for a few more reviews to decide (or til it's in the sale bin). For others who might click that link - language warning for some words not allowed here.

 

Heard the single, finally, today. Just awful - like a post-Waters b-side. Musically, ok, if somewhat expected and bland. Lyrically though, just cringeworthy.

 

I can't find a flaw with the lyrics on the rest of the album though.

Listening to David Gilmour's new album Rattle that Lock via Spotify. It sounds pretty much exactly how you'd expect it sound. It's good - love that guitar tone.

 

I actually really like the Endless River. Sure it's not Wish You Were Here or Animals, but few albums are. I feel like it's a nice enjoyable coda to a very long and interesting career.

I love the subtle nuance of his messages. Wonder what this could mean?

In the eighties, when nobody liked Roger Waters, I was a huge fan. But I always thought he looked a bit dodgy. With that weird elongated face and the droopy eyes and the gangly stances. Between the likes of Madonna and George Michael he was rather unsightly.

But look at him now. Ever since he took the Wall on the road again, he's totally come into his own. Knows exactly how to posture and what to wear. His face is the face of a strong man. The man is nearly 80 years old, and he's beautiful.
