Hey, I'm new here! Sort of, I used to post on these forums maybe 15 years ago. It's wild how time flies. Anyways I thought it wouldn't hurt to get involved in a fan community again.

I try not to spend too much time on fan stuff usually which is why I didn't fully finish this and kept it pretty loose. Thanks guys.

Here was a design I started for Darth Plagueis, but I'm not sure I'll finish it.

 

Wow this is really cool! Do you have any tips for digital painting in color? Usually I change my reference image to black and white before painting, because color can be really tricky, haha. Also I was wondering, what program do you use to draw?

 

If you're using reference, changing it to black and white is a good move. You'll start developing a better understanding of an image's tonal range that way. You can also "colorize" a black and white painting with a variety of methods. With my quick concepts I'll always do them in grey tones, and then apply colour afterwards. I work in Photoshop.

 

Whoa I love your style! Loving that Yoda design, he looks so badass! Also, whoa the one with yourself as a jedi, awesome!

 

If I looked that cool as a Jedi I'd dress like that 24/7....!!!!
