ST Planets in Episode IX

True enough. That is a very clean subway station though.

 

Naboo, Coruscant, Mustafar, Tattooine, Degobah, Endor, Jakku, Ahch-To

 

This is very alien looking to me.

I'd accept this as a planet in the SW Galaxy.

Going to say it: CORUSCANT.

 

Your not the only one hoping for it. I really hope the first order makes it their capital. I miss Coruscant. It would be great to see if anything has changed since we last saw it 30 years ago.

 

I'm on the fence as to whether I want to see it or not, but have a strong feeling we will see it at least briefly to help tie up the whole saga.

Might be cool if one of the last scenes is there, or that's where we see Leia and Luke's ghosts, maybe Rey explores the old Jedi Temple or her and Kylo's final duel is on the Coruscant Temple Ruins...

 

Just to let you know in Canon the whole Jedi temple was remodeled to be the Emperor's palace.

 

We've been to hell (Mustafar)... We've been to purgatory (Ahch-to) .... We need to go to the promised land...paradise.






A different kind of metropolis than Coruscant or Bespin. Like an ancient, seedy, maybe even a dark side metropolis/city.

Maybe something explodes in the old jedi temple/emperor's palace and some hologram of Anakin/Vader projects briefly and Rey and Kylo are literally duel in this projection casting shadows on the ruins with their bodies and lightsabers.

I'm thinking something similar to the fight in Blade Runner 2049 when the glitchy hologram of Elvis keeps coming in and cutting out weirdly.

 

Naboo and Scarif were paradises, geographically speaking.

 

What book is that in ? Lords of the Sith ?

 

I want an underwater planet like Mon Calamari. The underwater battles in the clone wars were so cool.

What about a swampy planet that feels different than Dagobah in some way, maybe a different color palette to the the trees and water than the dark greens and browns of Yoda's hideaway.

Would be also cool to have a planet that the main characters have to wear breathing apparatus to be on it...Could be a reason that Kylo dons his mask again...Maybe a place that's really beautiful but has toxic gas or water...

My home state of Louisiana has a lot of swamp and marsh areas that look like this:

 

Expect a forest of some kind. And I hear they're going back to Jakku.....

 

Maybe we'll see Yavin 13 in IX. It's one of three habitable moons of Yavin Prime.... the others are Yavin 8 and of course Yavin 4.

Jokes aside, I don't think we will see anything about Sheev and the unknown regions in episode IX

How exciting to think that while we're discussing all this they have probably already scouted new locations and i suppose even found the right places and contracts are being signed with official and stuff like that...after all shooting starts in just 5 months...

 

You know, with the technology they have today, it's a little surprising to me they even bother going to so many real life locations that often take a lot of difficulty to get access to. If the technology was good enough to produce a quite decent looking Coruscant in 2005, then just imagine what could be done today.
