PT pod racer/ naboo craft constricted plasmatic thrust

I kind of gather the pod racer and naboo were similar plasma thrust vessels. The later era craft had a different thruster. But I kind of wonder about plasma maybe being the concept for pod racer and naboo craft engine. A stream of plasma super excelled by governing it with a ring of plasma connected to energy supplied by the actual power source on the ship. The ring or series of tubing filed with plasma that could be polarized around the plasma being shot straight out may have hyper accelerated the exiting fuel source.

Contained plasmatic thrust such as in star trek may only have launched the nacelles forward but the argument was that plasma was stored in re-cycled back into the ship.
