Reminds me of one of my favorite Fraiser moments in Cheers, in which something juicy has happened in the bar, he missed it, and yells to someone "If something happens here, I'm to be paged!".

I'm actually expecting a reversal any day.
Certainly at Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, people were smoking and vaping all over the place, and the staff didn't give a ****.

 

I have a particular loathing for smokers/vapers that don't seem to grasp that air exists. Had this happen a few weeks ago at a football game where someone started vaping in the stands, and seemed shocked when she was told she can't do that.

Thankfully, most places here do take the restrictions on that stuff seriously if it's in areas where it impacts others. Including theme parks (usually).

Tobacco smokers, in particular, seem to be generally fairly respectful in California (I think it found the right level of stigma) but pot smokers haven't gotten to that level yet. Need more public shame.

 

That joke has only gotten funnier since the transgender weightlifter went to the Olympics, failed to make her first three lifts and was disqualified.
