What's amazing to me is that if you squint reeeeeeally hard you can sort of look at his house-flipping show as a quasi-continuation of Cool As Ice...

Imagining that first paragraph being read in Boris the Blade's voice is a little amusing:

WE ARE BUILDING THE FIRST NEW BORDER WALL IN A DECADE.

DHS is committed to building wall and building wall quickly. We are not replacing short, outdated and ineffective wall with similar wall. Instead, under this President we are building a wall that is 30-feet high.

FACT: Prior to President Trump taking office, we have never built wall that high.

 

I've seen this sentiment going around, I guess to some it sounds like it was written by someone who doesn't have enough of a grasp on the English language to know to use some sort of (in)definite article before the word "wall", and haha, isn't it funny that we're just a Russian patsy state or something.

But I think in this instance they're using wall as an uncountable noun. You know, like how if you're talking about fruit you don't need to say "I'm eating a fruit" or "I'm eating the fruit", you just say "I'm eating fruit."

If you notice at the end of the first paragraph, they do use the indefinite article and say "a wall", because in that instance, they're referring to the wall as a whole, and not just pieces of "The Wall" made out of "wall".
